help..serger problems

I made about 20 stuffins this weekend out of hemp fleece. I've done probably over 50 already so I thought by now I know what I'm doing. Well when they came out of the 3rd wash, I noticed most are already coming loose on the seams. My other ones are already 8+ months and none are coming loose.

When I compared the stitches, it appears the underneath is looser than my old ones. I went and looked in the manual and my settings are correct. I'm using a babyloc serger on wide serger setting.

Any suggestions?

I find I dont set my tensions by the manual. I test a piece of everything first because it just never seems to behave the same two days in a row.

I guess all you can really do is practice on one, get the tensions right and then serge the rest slightly smaller than what they were.

I agree, don't go by the manual for settings. I just adjust them as needed. Also, I buy air in a can and spray out all the lint after every use or if I am serging a lot and lint builds up faster than normal, I cleaned it during. This helps tons as it can affect performance. Hemp fleece is linty!
