Yes, but only rarely. He's mostly pretty good about it.

No, we don't fight. I just throw them away.

No, we don't fight. He'd never put his pretty hands on a sponge.

Yes, there are fights, but not with my hubby. It's the kids/other family members who don't treat the sponge properly.

Sponge? Who uses sponges? Isn't that some form of birth control?

Okay, our other thread has me curious. How many of us have fights with our husbands/partners about the dreaded kitchen sponge? I had no idea that this was a common theme. It makes me feel a whole lot better knowing that we're not the only ones!

And, I voted yes, but only rarely, because we've finally made it through this one. After 6 years of marriage!

We don't use a sponge. They hold on to waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many nasty germs.

I voted that he'd never put his pretty hands on a sponge. The only things he would ever do that would involve a sponge he ALWAYS goes for a paper towel for instead. Of course his parents used paper towels for EVERYTHING

I don't use paper towels, but I have to buy them for the sake of marital bliss.

How funny, because dh is the one that freaks out if I throw the sponge out before replacing it with a new one! He tosses it in the dishwasher once a week or so and I just toss it PERIOD LOL.

I voted yes, but only rarely. We really have resolved this problem. It's just that we have to go through it in every house that we live in because we have to mutually decide the location of which sponges. Our recent fight over it was because the issue hadn't come up here yet. I had been doing everything since moving at the beginning of March until a few weeks ago and if I'm the only one using the sponges, there's not a problem. But when we both use sponges, he will stick to the designated use of the sponge now (after a few years early in our marriage of it being a major issue) if he agrees with me on the location of the sponges.

BTW, I think this is a great poll and that it should be moved to parents as partners so that people who are not expecting a child in August might find it also.
