I have a cut that requires product, but I'd love to get away from the chemical yuck that I'm using now. Any advice on a natural concoction that would work?

Aubrey Organics makes a gel...Burt's Bees says you can use the avacado butter hair treatment as a styling product as well I haven't used my AO yet.

I started a thread on this for a natural hairspray......heres what I used:

1 cup water
1 lemon cut into slices

boiled for 2 hours until completey falling apart

strain into a spray bottle

LET COOL BEFORE USING

it worked great
no bugs
no stickiness
nothing

What Im gunna change next time is to add a scent of some sort during the boiling process. Give it a little ommmpphhhh!

For my wedding, I wanted a nice up-do, and my hair is long, thin, and has a mind of its own. I've always hated styling aids, I owned a bottle of hairpray in grade 6, but haven't touched it since. I am scent-sensitive as well. A family friend was doing my hair for the big day, and here's the solution she came up with: aloe ver gel. Plain and simple. Apply when wet, style as desired. It held better than a normal hair product would in my hair, it didn't stink, and it left my hair soft and conditioned rather than gross and crusty. I swear by it, and if I ever need to style my hair again, I'll use it!

Not with a tight seal on the lid. I ended up with about 3/4 a cup by the time it was done.

I'll third the aloe vera gel. You can buy it anywhere they sell lotion or sun block products...you don't have to have a health food store.
