Losing Weight

I'm already down at least 2lbs.. Last month at Weight Watchers (the last time I went) I was down to 213 (30lbs lighter than my pre-preg weight) and today my scale says 204.. I think it weighs a little light but not THAT light, kwim?

I'm having a heck of a time finding decent things to eat. I'm nursing and pregnant so I really do need to up the calories. I know it's ok to lose weight when you're overweight.. last time I lost 15lbs and then re-gained it plus 8lbs by the time I delievered but this is pretty early to start losing weight.. especially so much, so fast.

Ok.. any suggestions? Things that have been good to you lately? Even just pretty good will do! :LOL I know we have a craving thread but I wanted some encouragement and more suggestions!

I have a hard time keeping my weight up/gaing weight when I am not pg so was told to eat more carbs (not white bread refined sugar carbs). I love carbs but not enough to eat enough to keep my weight up

I barely gained any weight when I was nursing & pg, there was just not enough to food to feed my appetite! I know I am NO help but maybe you could add a protein shake or carnation breakfast to your daily intake to help gain more calories?

I lost 5 lbs last week. Which isn't that bigof a deal because I definately have it to lose. I still had 15 lbs on from Chandra that has just not wanted to come off. I've been eating a balanced diet and working out everyday (at least a walk). I'm nursing also.

Although I wasn't bursing, I had something similar happen with DS's pg. I lost 10 lbs the first 2 months. I also had it to lose thanks to clomid weight gain trying to get pg. Then only gained about 20 from there.

Thanks for the reminder why I love it here! I've started posting on my old pregnancy board last week and it's so fast.. too many people. It's so intimate here!

Thank you for the encouragement, it's just nice to hear someone acknowledge what you're feeling and chime in with what helps them. Thank you so much!

I wanted to add that salad is my friend.. man that stuff is good! :LOL

Jenn,
Congrats! I didnt realize that you were excpeting around the same time as me. Im due March 19th. I wouldnt worry about your weight so much tho. Its more important to eat well when your hungry, drink lots of water, and keep up a moderate level of activity. Thats my 2 cents anyway.

Heres to a happy and healthy pregnancy!

I lost weight with my first too, and with this one it seems to be just sitting at a *high* number- lol... I am suprised because I nurse and I have not been eating much, or at least anything good. I do think in the next month or two I will have some weight loss, but as long I keep more down than comes up I think I am good!

I second the water suggestion...nausea and food pickiness is new to me, as I didn't really have much the first time. This time around, water helps me stomach more foods, and more variety. I can't touch plain vegetables right now, which is a huge bummer. We're doing the saute in olive oil thing quite often (with lots of protein-rich cheese), especially with chard, kale, and other random greens. (We're in a CSA, so we get a lot of these veggies!)

Other suggestions that work for me:
--Pizza (I'm going to start making quickie pizzas with whole wheat pitas, organic pizza sauce, and shredded organic cheese, as delivery is getting expensive and greasy!)
--Smoothies (plain whey powder and/or yogurt with fruit, ice, flaxseed oil, and stevia or maple syrup)
--Tea (it soothes and cleanses; I can't believe it works for me!)

I know pregnancy food choices are so subjective - I hope something that someone says helps!
