Organic Pillow?

I am slowly trying to convert our bedding to organics. So far, I have bought an organic playmat for my dd that I have put over the mattress where she sleeps along with an organic cotton blanket that she sleeps on top of, and our sheets and blanket were wedding presents and are "chemical free" cotton, but not organic. Now that I have made enough money selling on ebay, I want to buy organic pillows, but I could really use some suggestions. I have seen cotton, buckwheet, and millet pillows, and can't decide which would be best (no wool for me ). Any suggestions? I am looking for the best combination of comfort/price. Thank you!

I love the toddler pillows from humanityinfant
http://www.humanityinfantandherbal.com/

They are a great size for all kids (not just toddlers) and have orgainc outer with removable pocket of lavender.

I believe the fill is recycled?

Very nice quality! I was quite pleased!

Do you sew at all? I think it would be super easy to make a few...I get organic cotton stuffing from:

They also have lots of organic cotton fabric, and even organic thread...

NP I know it's hard to find! Now to figure out a way to get it on smaller spools, so I can get away with buying one giant spool instead of four for my serger. :LOL

Okay, after looking at that site, I need some more help! I'm new to sewing, and don't know much of anything about different fabrics. What would be a good choice to use for a pillow, and what would be good to make a light baby blanket out of?

Thanks again!

I'm pretty new to sewing too...so probably won't be much help. I think for the pillow a woven would be good, just read some of the descriptions(some of them say good for pillows...etc). They have lots of good fabrics for a blanket, knits are good(but harder to sew, I think)and a one layer flannel blanket would be a lot like a receiving blanket.

HTH a tiny bit at least. LOL
