Hey--nobody has mentioned Phil Collins. Remember Against All Odds? Sussudio (sp?)? Billy Don't You Lose My Number?

Not to mention Genesis--I Can Feel It, Comin' In the Air Tonight --yeah, totally sure THAT is not the title....

Dh insists on a no-Phil-Collins household...sigh...but I DO like the "Against All Odds" I must admit...

What about the Pretenders? Gawd, they were awesome...Chrissie Hynde for President!

"don't-get-me-wrong"-ingly,
Allison

"Voices Carry" by something Tuesday. Aimee Mann was the lead singer. Love the hair style in her video.

Hey librarymom, T

In regards to your earlier 'proposal', I noticed you didn't respond ~ did I scare you off ? Was it something I said?

Ah, it's Simple Minds. Don't mess with my 80's song knowledge!

I never liked Phil Collins until I got pregnant! Before that I thought I was above his Su-su-suddiory! But once I was pregnant I would go batty everytime he came on the radio...especially "Easy Lover". I would get so into that song that DH would start to look scared! I went through the same thing with Billy Joel. Not preg anymore and I still love them both. I think it's permanent!

Oooh, 'Till Tuesday! Does anyone know/like their song "Coming Up Close"? It's fantabulous. Not your typical '80s song for sure.

Yes, The Pretenders! Especially their first album and even more especially "Tattooed Love Boys" & "Precious". How much @ss does she kick on those songs?!?!

Dallas JUST GOT AN 80's RADIO STATION!!! Driving to work this morning I heard Bowie's "Young Americans" and "I would walk 500 miles" (I think that was The Procaimers?) It almost makes me sad that I only have a 1.5 mile/2 song commute...

but-not-THAT-sad-ingly,
Allison

I can't leave this thread alone! One of my favorite '80s dance tracks is "Dancing in Heaven (Orbital Be Bop)" by Q-Feel featured in my favorite movie all time (when I was 10) "Girls Just Want To Have Fun"

"Are you ready?
Here we go!
Slow
Slow
Quick Quick
Slow"
