i'm a huge m. night shyamalan fan. well, i didn't like 'the sixth sense' as much but i loved 'unbreakable.' 'signs' still scares the heck out of me.

so, i'm very excited to see 'the village.' i really like joaquin phoenix, too. i watched the trailer on the computer . yikes! anyone else going?

I'm SOOOOOOO excited about seeing this movie! I think we're going to try and go on Friday night! I imagine I should probably buy the tickets through Fandango to avoid a sold out show last minute. Joaquin Phoenix, yum!

Dh and I really want to see The Village. I wonder what the "twist" ending could be...?
i'm going to go see it too!! Report back what you thought when you get home tonight, deal?
Someone who sees it today, PM me and tell me the ending please. I've been searching all afternoon for a spoiler, I found a few people who said they saw it and said it was the same thing, so I'd like to hear if what I think is the ending is true (Yes, I like to ruin scary movies for myself before I see them, I don't like surprises and will feel better if I go knowing how it ends, I'm crazy, I know, but it helps me,lol).

we're debating about whether or not we should go tonight. we could go to that or else we could see 'dodgeball' for supercheap on base and see 'the village' later this week.

what to do, what to do. i know but i really like ben stiller. plus i'm just a big old scaredy-cat. i STILL have bad dreams about 'signs' and yet i watch it all the time.

Not very and what a let down. Nowhere near as good as I expected and nowhere near as good as his other films. Should have gone to see Harold and Kumar go to White Castle instead. :

oh no!

what is harold and kumar go to white castle? i don't watch tv (or check news) and when i called the movie line, they mentioned that movie. i'd never heard of it before.

http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/h/h...hitecastle.php It looks pretty funny and at got way better reviews than The Village. I am so bummed about The Village. I was really really looking forward to it and it just wasn't very good.

I know the ending, but I'm still going to see it because my sister really, really wants to see it and I told her I'd go with her. I'm actually glad it's not very scary....at least I hope it's not scary to me! Eek.

eta...I'm going tomorrow morning to see it, will report back (and it's my first time going anywhere-besides a quick 20 minute trip to the hardware store-without the baby! Ahhh! He'll be fine with dh, ds, and my two nephews, but me??? It's so weird going somewhere with no kids...) Anyways...

7.5 out of 10 - lol

I really liked it. I could see how a lot of ppl could be disappointed, it's not what you expect. Like my husband said, it's not on my top 10 list, but I felt like i got my $$ worth. it does have a lot of twists, and not just at the ending.

ok, so what's the gist of it? What's the ending? Spoil me, spoil me!!!!!

Ok, here ya go...

Warning :: Spoiler Ahead! Highlight to read message!
Their quaint little village is actually in a wildlife preserve in the present. All the village elders had lost someone as the victim of a violent crime and decided to create this place to get away from it all. The "creatures" in the forest were made up by the elders to discourage people from leaving.

Doesn't sound too bad, but it surely was a disappointment when compared to his last movies.

It's so rare that dh and I even try to go to the movies. It has to be something we really want to see. Anyway, last night, we dropped our older dd off with a family in our neighborhood that she knows really well, and took our younger dd with us to see it. It was her bedtime, and the plan was for her to nurse and sleep through it. (She can fall asleep during anything- last week she fell asleep during the middle of a fireworks show.)

So we got and the theater was packed. We found some seats near an aisle and started watching the previews. Dd started grabbing at our popcorn, and I was watching really close. She loved it and really ate a bunch- especially considering how little solid food she normally eats! She settled down to nurse, and the next thing I know, some milk must have gone down the wrong way, because she sat up and promptly vomited partially digested popcorn and breastmilk all over me. :Puke It was so nasty!

Needless to say, we didn't get to stay for the rest of the movie. And neither dd or I will be eating popcorn for a very long time.

: (Gives a whole new meaning to this smilie for me! :LOL)
