We expecting Number 3- we have two little girls. 3 yrs and 16 months. All our kids will be 2 years apart each it seems

I'm struggling to give up my weakness of coffee... yummmm... and overall I'm feeling really really good.

We haven't told the kids yet- at the store the other day my 3 yr old saw a baby and I said "isn't he adorable?" and she said "yeah- me wanna buy one!" I explained that babies grow in tummies instead of being bought. She said "you grow baby in yours tummy for us, mommy?" :melt

I'm very excited- although this wasn't exactly planned....

Hello all!

I just found this online community today, and I am so excited to join you all.

I am 31, a SAHM, and pregnant with our second baby. My daughter is 15 months old and still nurses around 12 times a day. She slowed up for a few weeks around the time we got pregnant...maybe that's what helped it happen. My edd is April 8. We are planning a home birth. Last time, we
transferred at the last minute...just missed a home birth by 10 minutes.

We already told all the family, but I am going to try to keep it a secret from friends until October. For some reason I am nervous about nursing in front of people that know I am pregnant. I guess I don't want to have a confrontation.

Well, I look forward to getting to know you all.

Jennifer

hello all! i'm glad to be introducing myself here...

i'm heather, mama to 3 year old bailey and 1 year old twins, ransom and avery. i am due with #4 april 15, 2005. i miscarried twins june 1, and am very cautious of this pregnancy, but still can't help but be excited.

i am planning on birthing with a midwife in a free-standing birth center, hopefully in a tub. my first appointment is in 2 weeks, where i will have an ultrasound just to make sure the little one in there is doing okay... and that there is only one! midwife says i can't birth at the center if i'm having twins again.

Welcome hmg7500, sorry to hear about your recent m/c's. The best of luck with your current pregnancy, lots of positive vibes coming your way.
Rainbow I know what you mean about coffee. I keep blaming the fact that I'm so tired on the fact that I'm not drinking coffee.

Please Hurry and Post After Me.....

I am really nervous about posting here and fearful that someone is going to find me so if someone would please post after me so that it will be more difficult to find me on here, I would appreciate it.

I got the on Monday afternoon and we have told very few people since then. This will be baby #4 for us and our youngest is only 6 months. Our first 2 children are 13.5 months apart and that caused a lot of controversy so I can only imagine what #4 will do with a similar age difference.

Although I am pretty aware of what causes this (someone is sure to ask irl), I am a little surprised that I am pregnant this time. I am very in tune with my body and have been practicing FAM for over 4 years now. Logically, I should not be pregnant right now, but I guess it just goes to show that we don't always get to decide (a lesson for the control freak that I am). I also don't have a due date just yet. It should be 4/9 - 4/18 since I got a on 7/30 (cycle day 45), I at least have a place to start.

My first 2 were born in the hospital and the baby was born at home in the tub - a much better experience. I am looking forward to repeating my wonderful homebirth experience with this baby as well and so is dh. I am a DONA certified doula and have just started taking clients again after the birth of my son. I will probably attend births through February and then take another break. I love birth work, but really enjoy my down time with my babies!

That is more than enough about me! : that nobody finds me for a few more weeks!

I'm a bit nervous about posting so early (yes, I'm superstitious!) but I'm trying to be positive, so . . .

My name is Elena, and I just (Saturday!) turned 31. I have one DD, who is 2.5 years. I had an easy time conceiving her, easy pregnancy, and pretty easy labor (in the hospital but natural birth), but the recovery felt hard. I nursed her until she was 28 months. However, it seemed to really be affecting TTC, so I weaned her at that point.

With this pregnancy, I'm in such shock. I had pretty bad spotting since my cycles returned over a year ago. We started TTC 4 months ago, and I figured it would be very hard or even impossible to conceive again. But, apparently the medicine I'm on (progesterone) and maybe weaning helped tremendously. I got a nice line at 11 DPO it's been getting darker every day, thank goodness.

I was a teacher, then a SAHM, and this fall I'll be going back to do student teaching to complete my master's in bilingual/bicultural education. I'm looking forward to finishing and becoming a SAHM again.

to my friends from the TTC board! I feel so very lucky to be joining you here.

I look forward to getting to know all of you! for us all!

Hi

I am Jess. I am 24 and pregnant with #3. Dh and I have been married for 6 years. We have 2 dd, 5 and just turned 1.

We live on Dh's family's cattle and wheat ranch. We also have a small herd of registered show cattle. Dh is the IS/IT manager for the other family business (ag-chem products and grain seed). He used to work on the ranch fulltime, but now just helps out when needed.

I don't know what I am goin to do about this birth. I had c-sec with both my girls. With #1, I had been slowly leaking fluid for over a week and there was none left, so I was induced. Long story short, 40 hours later I was only dialated to a 6 and the baby was not engaged. I had not slept and finally agreed to a c-sec. She was born blue and with apgars of 4 and 6, needed to be born. #2, I had planned a VBAC. My bp started out high with this preg and only got higher. At 31 weeks I went to an appt not feeling good, my bp was 171/115 and I was in early labor. I was rushed to the hospital and spent 2 days there and went home on strict bed rest. My bp continued to stay at about 150/100 and at 37 weeks I had a c-sec. Baby was fine and came out screaming!

At my first appt yesterday Dr said no VBAC, but will wait untill due date for c-sec. I would really like to have a vaginal birth, but don't know if I will ever have one. I LOVE my doctors, but I already have to drive over an hour to get to town to see them. There are no midwifes in this area and I would have to go over 2 hours the other direction (away form our families) to find a doctor or midwife that will "allow" a VBAC.

Sorry so long, I got to rambling/venting!

Glad to meet all of you and hope to have a happy healthy 7 or so months to get to know you better!

Wow, I can't believe how many of us are due on April 11th!!!

I am due with #2 on April 11th, too-- which is also dd#1's birthday, ha ha! But she was 18 days late, so I'm not counting on that happening.

I had no pregnancy symptoms with dd#1 other than breast tenderness and fatigue, and so far it is the same way this time, except no breast tenderness yet-- hoping it stays that way, and really really hoping dd nurses through pregnancy.

dd#1 was born after 36 hours of labor (24 at home) and ended in c/s, planning an HBAC this time around.

I am so excited!!!

Hey Mamas!

My name is Michelle. I'm so glad to see others who are nervous to actually put in writing that they are pregnant!! It still seems so new I'm due around the middle of April. I'm pretty surprised to be preg so quick. We were going to start "trying" this month. Well, I must have O a bit late or early (hadn't started charting yet), b/c two little pink lines showed up!
Anyway, we have one amazing little guy who just turned two last month. He is so excited about babies right now, so I hope that is still the case in April.
Just wanted to say hello and that I am happy to be here!!
oh, BTW just wanted to add that I am right there with those of you that have posted that nursing a toddler while pg is a big ouchie!!

Hey mamas! I'm Julie. I'm mama to Savannah (5/23/03) and we're expecting #2 at the end of April. So far I'm feeling good. Can't wait to grow and grow!

I'm also nervous about posting and hoping not to get caught....since I haven't told my IRL friends yet, but

I'm Angie, 34, mama to Finn (6/15/01) and due with a little grain of rice (that's how big the babe is right now) at the end of April (the 23rd I think?)....

I've been thinking I was pregnant since implantation, 2 weeks ago, but was trying to hold off on testing. Then the morning, dh was supposed to leave for a 5-day conference, I woke him early to head to the drugstore so that I could catch the first morning pee and it was clear as day.

I'm feeling tired and am actually looking forward to more signs of pregnancy (nausea and nipple tenderness) so that it can feel more real... crazy, huh?

now someone else post after me super-quick so that I can stay under cover...

Wow! There are lots of mammas on the April board already. I can't wait to get to know everyone.

I am Naomi, SAHM to Grace 4/03, and married to the man of my dreams (really!) John.......who is driving me batty right now. :LOL Must be preggo stuff. I just found out last week when the hurricane rolled through our house here in central FLA that we are expecting 4/19/05. What a crazy week, but we are so excited.

Glad to hear that there are other mammas struggling with the coffee. ARGH! Sitting at the computer without chugging coffee is KILLING me.

Just found out this morning
I had a dream last night that I went to the Dr and they told me I was pregnant.

I did have an appointment this morning to talk about birth control. When I got there I had them do a test b/c of my dream. I knew it was possible, but not probable. On july 19th I had a perforated IUD removed from my uterine wall.

I practically fell off the table when the nurse came back in and said I really am pregnant!

I am Nina. I am 31 and have been married for almost 4 years. I am a part time sign language interpreter at the local community college. My DH is currently a student. He is done in December and was going to go for more, but now he isn't.... I can't work with three! Now it is his turn to work

This is baby number 3!
DD will be three on the 8th of Sept, and DS just turned one.
DS still exclusively breastfeeds and has been really grumpy and hungry the past 5 days. I was getting really worried, but now I ahve an explanation. Still not sure waht to do about it though.
DD was born 8 weeks early due to my incompetent cervix and so no midwife will touch me with a ten foot pole
DS however stuck in there until 42 weeks, 6 weeks after my cerclage was taken out... so I don't know what to think!

Well.. I am getting chatting. Looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Hi I'm Serenity. I will be 22 on Wednesday. This is our third baby. DH and I have been married for 4 years this October. DD just turned 3 and ds is 16 months. According to the online calander I lloked at this morning I am due April 16, the same day I was due with ds. He was born the 15th. We are planning to deliver at the same freestanding birth center ds was born at. Had dd in the hospital, had a horrific experience and almost died. Hope to never deliver in a hospital again. I am excited to be here, but a bit nervous. I just miscarried 7 weeks ago an was certainly not planning to be pregnant so soon, but it happened. We are happy though. Can't wait to get to know all of you more.

Hi All, I'm Andrea. I've posted on a few other threads already, but haven't had time to read much on the board so I just finally got to this thread. Nice to have so much good company due in April. I'm due April 9, but since I'm expecting more than one I'm guessing that'll be moved up a week or so. I feel like quite the old fart of the group at 41. Wish I had done this earlier, but life doesn't always allow us these options. As such, I had to do donor egg/donor sperm IVF since I went through menopause early (about 2 year ago).

Right now I'm on slow-season layoff from work so I only work when needed (someone has jury duty, sick, etc.) and a few hours every few weeks to keep my books up to date. Going through a government inspection right now (ATF, I work at a shooting range) so even though the last place I want to be is at work I've been going in when the inspectors are there to keep us on track. Not sure how much I'll be able to work as the PG progresses. My VA pension (I'm a disabled vet) pays the bills but working PT helps with the little emergencies (namely vet bills and such for my 2 senior citizen, medically-challenged Mastiffs).

Looking forward to comparing notes with everyone on the list as we all move towards the finish line.
