cross breastfeeding - Page 2

This has crossed my mind before..and just making conversation to DH..I mentioned it to him..he says that BM is a bodily fluid (which is true) and that cross breastfeeding is gross..(this is the guy that only beleives in 100% BFing, and where I got all my support from when we experienced sore, cracked, bleeding nipples)..and warned me never to try it!
WHATEVER!
Even though I've never done it..I would probably breastfeed someone else's baby if it came down to it..and hope that a friend do the same for my baby!
Another's Mommy Milk is still 100% better than Formula!

cross breastfeeding

i live in MD and would love to find a place/community to cross breast feed in. I would hope everyone would be willing to have a clean bill of health. but the fact that a child could still have BF while i was at work or what ever is wonderful and that i could provide the same for someone else. well this is an old post and i am learning about the topic so i don't expect a reply.

Question

Just a question: doesn't breastmilk taste different from person to person? My sister said that after having her 2nd child, her oldest was no longer interested in bfing as it didn't taste the same. Is this true?

I believe that the bfing relationship between mother and baby is a very personal, private, and special thing and for that reason would not want someone else to nurse my baby. However, if there was any kindof emergency and I could not be with my baby, I would be so grateful if a friend or sister would bf my baby and I would be glad to do the same for them in a similar situation.

This is a very old thread, and actually doesn't belong in Lactivism. I'm going to close it and would encourage anyone with questions to start a thread over in the breastfeeding forum.
