Anyone see this movie? We just rented it and it is awesome. Very cool to see, especially around 4th of July. What did you think? I just love Jim Carrey when he's not playing some over-acted, rediculous comical part....he really is an amazingly talented actor when he's not taking the easy road (ie stupid comedy...as opposed to brilliant comedy)

Hey, krisday-I have friends in it too! Trinidad (the beach scenes) and Ferndale (the town scenes) are here in Humboldt County where I live. Does your dad live up here? Well, I haven't seen it--but i remember being pregnant and waitressing in Trinidad and we were all excited about movie stars maybe coming in to eat (they didn't!)...

No Wildflower, he's in Orange County (not sure if they filmed thereabouts or if he drove to LA)- he's in the welcome home scene and got to shake Jim Carrey's hand a gazillion times because they kept re-shooting. He said Jim Carrey was a nice guy.

I agree...it had a great message and was a really empowering, uplifting movie. Too bad movies like this aren't the popular ones...seems like the ones that are the most popular are the ones labeled "daring" "provacative" etc...which translates to mean depressing and dark, intersperced with dark humor and naked bodies.
