sewing fitteds question

I am using the fitted pattern at fernandfaerie. I am using hemp jersey-at first i thought that 2 layers instead of four would be fine since it is so absorbent, but now that it is cut out, it seems like it would stretch out of shape. SOOO I am wondering if i should go ahead and add more layers since i made hemp soakers for them already. if i should, what I can use around the house to add 2 more layers-I have some polar fleece, but 2 layers of that seems really hot. I was thinking maybe jersey? i have a small stash of fabric already so i may not have to cannibalize our wardrobes as long as i have an idea of what type of fabric is best. If I add 2 more layers, should I sandwich the hemp between or have both layers of hemp on the inside and the two others on the outside? oh, and I need the outermost fabric to be snappi-able so i don't have to use velcro.
