That would be too funny if we both had Skye Elizabeth as a name!!!! Granted yours would be slightly different as Skyler but still.... close enough We can't do Skyler because my cousin has a little boy named Skyler.

I looooooooooooovvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeee Skyy Cosmos

So far, our names are:
Boy -- Zachariah Dean (Zachary for short)
Girl -- Eliana Joy (Ellie for short)

I also like Nathaniel Dean (it is MY first choice), and call him Nathan, but DH hates "Nate." He likes Nathan, but is sure people will call him Nate, and he can't stand that thought.

Of course, he thinks my name pet peeves are quirky and silly too, so I can't really push the issue. :LOL

Nemmer - I have to go with your husband on this one! I think I would naturally refer to a Nathan as "Nate". Sorry....

I have the same issue with Charles. DH likes it and I like it too, I also like Charlie, but I can't stand the nickname "Chuck" and think too many people will use it. :LOL

Yeah, sadly it is a natural nickname, huh? Bummer. But at least we both have a second choice we like. DH's first choice would be Joshua, which I love, but if it gets shortened to Josh, then it runs into our last name too much (our last name starts with an S) and that would bug ME to no end.

I don't think I could do Charles either -- Chuck would just give me the heebeejeebees. (No offense intended to any lurking Chucks or friends/family of Chucks who love the name)

I`m expecting a girl and so far I`ve got Jenny. But I`ll go many rounds with names before chosing, I know myself that well.

Im not expecting, but hoping to be soon. When I was pregnant with DD (now 6) the deal was.. if it was a girl I got to pick the name, if it was a boy the dad got to pick the name (noteabley I agreed to this to shut him up, as I always win anyhow.. LMAO). I won, and went with Ashlynd LeAnn. I already have a list of names for my next one... Boys names would be Christopher Wayne, or Patrick Wayne (Wayne for my cousin who passed on), and for a girl.. Anything with Sue or Karen as the middle name (for my Mother Karen Sue, who has also passed). Thats all I have to add

We know the baby is a girl. Her name will be Lila. Our last name starts with an A & we usually choose two middle names. I'd love to find an I & and L name so that her initials would be LILA. Corny, huh?

So far I like Lila Indira Lee

We know ours is a boy, too. We didn't want to, but there you go... We've settled on Ryder (or maybe Reidar, which is the Scandanavian version), but the middle name is a battle ground. I like Leopold, which would give DS the same initials as DD. I sort of like the continuity there. Other options are Jackson (or Jacson after his Daddy whose initials are JAC), Isaac, William, Franklin, or Theodore. It's maybe wait and see what he looks like from here, too. Good luck!

My new baby's name is Jaylene Eva.

Lila is a pretty name, that's my sister's name, she pronouces it "Leela" as opposed to Lila in Lilac. How are you pronouncing it?

I think the whole name sounds great and the initials being LILA is cute.

I love Lila! That is one my first choices, but dh nixed it I like the spelling Leilah, I think it means moon or something in Arabic.

Beautiful choices!!
We are going with Amalia for a girl which means walks through life with happiness and no worry - calm, enjoys the company of others and festive moments
For a boy, we like Torin which is Gaelic for chief

We pronounce it Lie-la. I like the simple spelling of Lila My name is such a PITA b/c I always have to spell it & correct peoples odd pronunciations. I don't want to pass along that sort of hassle.

I still can't think of the middle names to add up to the initials LILA.

Boy:

What's wrong with Lila Indira Lee? I think it sounds cool. I really like the name Indira.

Dh doesn't like it But if we don't come up with something soon he won't have a choice

He is notorious for having no suggestions, but lots of vetos

Our DD, due 1/27, will be Allison Campbell (99% sure). Campbell is MIL's maiden name, and all the Campbell men had daughters, none of whom kept their maiden names, so we wanted to keep the name alive somewhere. The 1% doubt on the name is just in case we see her and realize she is not an Allison-- Then we're really stuck!

The name Allison came to me one night around 26 weeks pg or so, I was just falling asleep and the name popped into my head out of nowhere while she was wiggling and kicking. I woke DH up and told him and he liked it- enough that he remembered it in the morning and it quickly became his number one choice! I figure the name came from "somewhere" and it is meant to be her name.
