Any symptoms yet?

Thread Starter
I'm not quite 5 weeks and have a few symptoms.. slight nausea/food aversion, peeing (although it's been hot lately i've been sweating instead of peeing), tender breasts. I can't remember last time when the real symptoms kicked in (killer queaziness)... but i'm thinking around 6 weeks.

Any of you having symptoms yet?

I have a little bit of everything on and off right now - nothing all the time. I think it is normal for them to kick in full strength around 6-7weeks, so you've got a little bit of rest until then! Oh, and I'm 5 weeks 2 days today.

yep. before i tested positive i had a sudden aversion to ice cream!! still do.

and i had that queasy feeling off and on for a few days too. i get the queasies a couple days before a migraine sets in, so i wasn't sure if i was pregnant or if i was about to get a killer headache!

i have to pee a lot and my boobs have been killing me.

4 weeks today and enjoying the non-symptomness. I've been a little bit tired lately, but that's it. I remember all too clearly *wishing* that I would have more symptoms in my early pregnancy with my dd and then regretting it many times as I hugged the toilet, so I am absolutely savoring this part.

Stream - your chart looks good. I'm a little concerned about mine - temps seem too low. Here it is.

Melissa,

Your chart looks fine! But you need to stop charting! It's not going to tell you anything new or exciting and will only stress you out. Put away that thermometer! I'm going to stop on Friday, which is 18 dpo, just to have the officially preggo, no matter what the test says chart.

Your temps, btw, are somewhat low as compared to "average", but you have a very strong jump between pre-O and post-O temps, so I think it doesn't mean anything. If you keep worrying, you may want to ask your doctor to do a progesterone test and/or give you supplements.

But really- hide the thermometer! Go find it in a year.

I'm so out of it. When you are all saying you are 4 weeks preg or 5 weeks, do you start counting from the first day of your last period? I can't remember!

For symptoms, I've had a little queasiness, some cramping, and little twitchy feelings. Nothing too bad yet!

Stream - no, I need to keep charting for my own sanity, though it is driving me nuts, too. Since I mc'ed last time, I want to have whatever data I can if it should happen again so that I don't have to go through it a 3rd time.

Sara - You go back 14 days before ovulation. If you don't know your O date then you have to use the first day of your period, but it may be off a little. Like for me, since I O'd on day 18, the doctor's date is off about 4 days from what I know is my actual due date.

I've been having a few symptoms, cramping and round ligament pulling/tugging being the most obvious. Other than that, things have so far been mild (I'm about 4.5weeks), and the few other symptoms (slight queasiness, tiredness, thirst) could easily be in my head at this point.

Anyone remember when their breasts started hurting last time? I remember that being a major symptom for me with my last pregnancy--just can't remember when. Maybe 6 weeks or so?

Well m/s is here with a vengence, though I haven't lost it quite yet, but I'm glad for it given my history.

Stacy - my breasts were like the last thing to hurt last time, probably around 6-7 weeks, but this time they were sore at about 4 1/2 weeks. Don't worry, you'll vary some with each pregnancy.

I see above that some of you have mentioned that you have on & off symptoms...I just want to make sure that what I'm feeling is normal, kwim?
Yesterday I was exhausted, and felt extremely ill...today I feel quite a bit better, but not 100%. Is this okay? I tend to make myself crazy worrying about m/c everytime my symptoms go away.

It's normal for things to come & go right? (I'm at 4w5days)
Totally normal! Fatigue is probably my strongest symptom right now, and sometimes I feel like I can hardly move, while others I'm 99% normal. Same thing with food-- my appetite is fairly reduced as a general symptom, but occassionally I could eat a house. It's all par for the course as your body figures out what to do with the influx of hormones.

I am a little queasy, very tired, thirsty (although I'm bf, so now I'll be super thirsty), headaches, and I have to pee ALL THE TIME! Some days are better than others. I remember w/ dd somedays I would throw up like three times a day, somedays not once. So IMO don't get too paranoid about symtoms coming and going.

thanks Stream & Mary
My rational brain knows this is the case...but I can get really irrational & freak out so easily, yk?
Your words & experiences are VERY helpful.
thank you!!

argh! my breasts are hurting worse and worse every day. what do you do when your toddler thinks you're a jungle gym and is constantly jabbing her elbows into your boobs or thowing herself at your chest? she's always all over me! i'm constantly shielding my chest. kudos to you mamas who are nursing through your sore breasts. (dd weaned around 18 months).

I don't want to jinx it, and frankly it worries me a little, but I feel really good...I'm almost 5 weeks so I guess I should enjoy it while it lasts!! I was tired one day (but DS slept terribly the night before) and now I actually feel better than I did before we TTC...how odd!!
I am either 4 weeks or 5 weeks and feel like I am showing already! I am so bloated looking. I feel nauseated when I don't eat regularly and I am starving, but I think that is partly because I am tandem nursing. I am also exhausted and need to pee constantly! I really hope I don't lose my milk supply this time and am making an extra effort to stay well hydrated. I feel very pregnant today, so I hope that is a sign of good things to come.

Not too many symptoms here. I had some breast tenderness for a few days, but it's gone away now. So glad, since DD is a nurseaholic. I had a lot of breast tenderness when I was pregnant with her, so this is different.

I've been tired a lot, but less than last time. Mostly attributable to poor sleep quality, I think. DD sleeps with us and is getting her second molar, so she's nursing a lot and not sleeping soundly. Not that she's ever slept really well, but this is rough.

I've been feeling queasy this evening, and was attributing it to "morning" sickess, but now DH is feeling queasy too. Must have been what we ate for dinner. Oh dear. I didn't have ms with DD, so this would be different if I did. But right now I'm hoping it's just from dinner because I don't want to be sick while I need to take care of DD. I don't know that I could do it.

My pants are starting to be a bit tight, too. I (smartly) saved the jeans that I shrunk out of in the past year and might have to start moving into them. It's definitely way too early for maternity pants, but I can't go out in my pajama pants all the time, cute as they are. Elastic waist pants are nice, though.

I have the same early symptoms I've had with my two children- increase of smell. Liek walking around plugging my nose because everything stinks. Waking at night to pee. hungry, hungry, hungry.

No morning sickness- if I'm lucky I'll skip that all together again :LOL
