I'm at about 5 1/2 weeks and feeling pretty good so far! One thing I noticed from the very beginning was that I was so thirsty! I'd never heard of that as a pregnancy symptom but I guess it is. And of course I'm peeing a lot because of that. I'm feeling a little tired but I'm hoping it's just the summer lazy/tired feeling and I won't be so tired once I go back to school. I'm really going to need my energy then.
No nausea yet and I'm hoping that stays away because I'm a high-school teacher and I really don't want to be running out of my room every 5 minutes to throw up! But my mom said she was really nauseous with me but never threw up. My stomach does feel kind of funky in the mornings though, like a cross between being really hungry and really full at the same time. So weird.
No real cravings or aversions yet but I can go from being totally full to being hungry in about 5 minutes. Last night I could barely finish dinner but 5 minutes later I was hungy and eating a bowl of cornflakes.
It is kind of interesting to see what's going on and hear what's happening to others at the same stage.

and he is so sweet that sometimes when he catches himself being a little too rough, he stops himself and says something about "a baby in you tummy?". my daughter, on the other hand, who is 23 months old understands a lot of vocabulary but is still not gettin' the whole baby-in-tummy thing and why she has to be careful. All I can say is, keep re-explaining and keep your guard up. Surprisingly, there were many times where, when i was pg with baby#2, my son hit me in the stomach and it did no harm. I think our bodies respond pretty well. Just keep your guard up, but don't stress too much over it. If it makes you feel better, maybe you can sit with a pillow over you when your daughter is getting a little rough! (I know your post was about your daughter jabbing your sore breasts, but i thought i'd throw in my experience about my very active son... I figured it all related and thought the info might be pertinent to your situation anyway.)
