Does anyone know where I could find a pattern to knit (can't crochet) children's jumpers or dresses? I am having a heck of a time finding anything like this. I don't know why, my mom made tons of them for me...

your best bet is to go vintage. I have a few nice patterns for dresses. They are all in my old knitting books. Flea markets, used book stores, G- sales and Ebay are good places to get vintage books.

Jil Eaton has some cute patterns for dresses and jumpers. Her books are available at Amazon and also in libraries (Minnowknits has some dresses in it, I know -- not sure about the others). She has a website, too. Sometimes the directions in her books are wrong, but if you're experienced it shouldn't be a problem.

If you do a search on Jil Eaton (or maybe Minnowknits) you might hit some photos of her work...lots of knitting stores carry her kits.

I've found a few dresses/jumpers that I really liked knitting out of Zoe Meller's books (Double Knits, and Animal Knits, I think). I usually get them from the library so I don't have to buy a whole book for one pattern.

And Jil Eaton's stuff is cool too....I prefer to buy the patterns individually, again instead of buying the whole book...
