Im wondering if this is something everyone goes through? DS is around 2 1/2 months and I have so much fun with him, I am thinking about when a good time would be to have another baby. I thought all we wanted was one child, now I'm envisioning a family of five or more. So am I nuts or what?

Nope, not unusual...as soon as I was pg with #1 (who was unplanned) my first thought was "When can I have another?" :LOL When she was 6 weeks old, I took a pg test because I was going back on the pill and was actually disappointed when it was negative.

But I'm glad they ended up being 29 mos apart instead of 10 mos!

WHen my first was 3 months old I started looking at double stollers LOL! So I wouldn't say it is unsual. I even wrote him a letter when he was 4 months old and talked about what a great big brother he would be some day (and he is )

Don't ask me what I was thinking about more kiddos after #2 came along though LOL! (but as you see we are pg with #3 - and are even talking about more )

When I was 3 weeks post-partum with #1, I was ready for #2. So, no, you're not nuts--you're enjoying motherhood! The only way to do motherhood "more" is to have another.

Now, 13 months pp with #2, I do not have any idea when I might be ready for #3.

ugh, i think i was ready to get pregnant about 1 hr after giving birth! and that was after a hellish swollen week past my due date!
i had the baby cravings until very recently, when my dd got to be about 8 months. she has become a real wild child and keeps me so busy with her mobility and need to have me at her side at all moments, that i don't know how i could possibly handle another baby anytime soon. OTOH, sometimes i think it would do her some good to have another little one to share me with before she has had several years of not having to share mamma.

I actually bought bunkbeds when DS was about 6 months old!! We started 'letting thing happen' when he was 9 months old (but nothing did for a year) Now, DS is 2 1/2, and a 1 1/2 month DD. It's so much fun to see how much DS loves her, and watch him interact with her. I can hardly wait for her to start laughing out loud, to see what antics he'll get up to to make her giggle!!

Hehe I always knew I wanted lots and lots of children and would prefer them close together in age! I was ready to do it again the instant I gave birth! I got my periods back yesterday for the FIRST TIME!!!!!!!! DD is now 19 months old and I am hoping I will fall pregnant soooooooon!

LOL! No, you're not alone!
When my first was 2 months old, I told my husband I wanted another soon. We thought, "Ok, let's go for it", figuring I would get pregnant within a few months. WRONG!
I was pregnant 2 weeks later!
So the first two are 12.5 months apart.

I was ready to do it again minutes after our first dd's birth, same with our second. :LOL
