Anyone else madly sewing dipes for a new baby?

Just wondering if anyone else is in a diaper-sewing frenzy in anticipation for a new baby. I did the math and figured out that I need to finish something like one diaper a day for the next 8 weeks in order to make sure I'm done before the baby comes!

I bought and am borrowing newborn fitteds (I figured I could resell these better than my own) and am in the process of making 2 dozen one-size (PooPockets) diapers plus two dozen small dipes for when baby grows out of the newborns (at which point I figure I won't be up for much sewing yet) plus doublers plus wipes plus burp cloths.

I'm trying to simplify things as much as possible--not all of the diapers are unique, for example, and I'm making tri-fold instead of contour soakers--and I'm trying to remember that these are DIAPERS and that perfection is not paramount.

Anyone else in a similar boat? Maybe we could form a little support group or something!

I'm not sewing for a new baby, but for one I already have She is quickly growing out of her mediums and I'm trying to get her large stash together. After that is done, I'm thinking of starting some nb dipes for a friend of mine who is pg and really interested in cding. I may make some for our next yet to be concieved babe.

I did this in the spring, madly sewing as much as I could until my carpal tunnel syndrome got too bad and I had to stop. I've got almost all the feeling back in my hands now, at 2 mo. post-partum, so now it's time to start the mad rush to get the mediums sewn up I am doing several of each kind, so I can do them assembly line style, that's helped a lot.

One thing I can say is that, if at all possible, don't cut out all of the next size unless you are sure you love them. I discovered I really didn't like enclosed soakers in my fleece AIO's but the mediums were already sewn up so I am stuck with them.

LOL, I'm going to be lucky to finish the smalls, I'm not even thinking about the mediums yet! It does help that this is the second baby that I'm sewing diapers for, so I've figured out things that I do like (quick-dry dipes with snap-in soakers) and that I don't (fleece AIO's). I'm sticking to a fairly simple system so I hope that will help me out.

I ahve also been trying to make 1 a day. I am making the Very Baby AIO pattern and have about a dozen made so far, 6 NB and 6 Small.
I did make all my wipes and liners at first, plus am trying to make a matching liner with each dipe! I have made many different combos of fabrics to see what I like the best
I did purchase 6 FB and ordered one insert to copy when it gets here, I bout some hemp to start them!!
I have fabric everywhere

How do you like the very baby AIO pattern? I have been thinking about getting it.

I have made about 20 dipes in the last couple of days, plus a swaddling blanket and 2 crib sheets. I still need to make a lot more though. I am just making newborn size dipes because I want to move to wonderoos full time later. Here are some pics of the dipes I have made so far.

I really like it and they are pretty easy to make. I have been trying different fabrics and just started putting the pul on the inside so I could use cuter fabrics on the outside. They have some other options on www.sewdiapers.com for the AIO pattern that I am going to try like pockets, ect.
I did purchase about 8 FB to use for bedtime
Your diapers are adorable, I will have to get some pictures taken of mine!

I still have to revamp my pattern, which I just started on tonight. Once I get everything figured out, and some other projects out of the way, then I can start - good thing I have 6 months, eh? So I'm not madly sewing yet.....but I'll be pecking away at things gradually.

I could have written rubelin's post! heck we even had our baby's within 2 days

Ruby is in smalls and I am starting to plan out her medium stash - let me just say the diaper sewing doesn't end when the baby comes! they grow like weeds. I went from newborn to small and now to mediums. THis time I really know what I like best for her which is really helpful.
