Alice Hoffman Fans?

I finished Blackbird House last week and wondered if anyone cared to discuss it, or any others?

Is this a new one? I've read all that my library has...I'll have to look for that one.

yep-it just came out on July 20. It is a series of stories all taking place in the same home, from the 1800's on. I loved it.

Which book did you like the best?

Of course, Practical Magic. But I really liked the last one...Probable Future.

I am a huge Alice Hoffman fan. I was drooling over Blackbird House in Barnes & Noble yesterday! I am waiting till I can buy used on Amazon for cheap!!!

My favorite Hoffman book hands down was Here On Earth.

Mine is River King . I love love love that book. Has anyone read her "J" or "Y" books???

I just finished Blackbird House and did not care for it. It was clear from the first paragraph that at least some of the stories would be tragic, so I purposely kept some emotional distance from the characters. The stories were so over-the-top tragic that I couldn't really get into the book.

It got a little better toward the end (when not everyone associated with the house was doomed), but not much.
