Have you told yet?

Just wondering how many april mommas have told family and friends. I told my family as soon as I got my ( which was this weekend, I was two weeks late) and right away my mom went calling all her friends. With first dd I waited awhile to tell, this time for some reason I'm not as scared.

I told my friends pretty much immediately after I told DH. We told his parents this past weekend and we'll tell my family this weekend. I would've told my family earlier but I want to tell them in person.

people guessed before i had a chance to tell anyone. two other women at church (it's a small church) and i all had our first babies within 2 months of each other. both of them are pregnant again, so a couple of people just asked me, "are you pregnant?" i'm bad at lying, so i fessed up. this was all of 3 days after i'd taken the hpt.

we hadn't even had a chance to tell our parents yet!! so we had to call and tell them over the phone.

now everyone knows.

Yeah, we've mostly told everyone. I'm just hoping we didn't jinx ourselves.

i have told a select few people in my family and 1 or 2 friends. this time around we are keeping the news close to us for a while. i guess i am more nervous time around. last time i was already 2 months along and didn't feel any risk at sharing the news at that point.

After 2 recent m/c, we are a bit more selective about who we tell...mostly we tell people who we want to give us support. So my family knows, and about 5 really close friends, who have been sworn to secrecy for now.... (oh and of course MDC knows!) ...but I imagine the further we get along in our pg...the more the news will leak out !

I'm feeling totally paranoid this time around (never had a MC though) ... every little twinge has me on edge ... I feel bloated LOL.

However ... I can't seem to keep my mouth shut and we were planning on keeping it to ourselves for awhile ... I havn't told my mom yet though cause I have no desire to hear the 'your poor daughter is going to lose out on your affection' lecture.

We're telling people minus my work. And that's even tough for me, because I've told half a dozen people here as well-- just hoping I can lay low until at least mid-September or so to tell the higher-ups. I did a bunch of internet research yesterday trying to remember when morning sickness generally shows up (I had a healthy case of it with my dd). I'm not sure I'll be able to keep the secret too well if I'm hugging the toilet every hour or so...

But we love telling people otherwise! It's so fun. I'm not paranoid about it at all-- I figure if, god forbid, something bad were to happen, we'd have all those extra people supporting us. And since I don't think anything bad will happen, it's a bunch of extra positive thoughts for the little apple seed. (An apple seed! Can you believe our babies are already so big!)

I have told my internet friends plus one good RL friend. I haven't told family yet and don't plan to for a while. I've never had a m/c but our son has a severe heart defect and we are waiting until we can have some testing around 14 weeks to see if the heart is OK. I just feel superstitious telling family right now. I want to be able to say I'm pregnant with a HEALTHY baby

We just found out today and, after telling my husband, I called my sister and a friend but they didn't answer their phones. But I think we may tell everyone we know (and everyone we happen to walk by) over the next few days!!!!!!! I just want to know what to start shopping for? Maybe I can buy a new CD every week until the baby comes! What do you think? hee hee!

We haven't told anyone yet. Just my dh and I know...and of course we've told ds he's going to be a fantastic big brother (he's only 15 mo ) We might tell our parents and a couple select, close friends after our appt next week, when we'll find out if everything is on course and healthy. I just had my first bout of actual throwing up this morning and have had m/s for the last week now. It came on suddenly this morning and caught me by surprise. Hopefully I can keep that from happening while I'm in the office until we're ready to tell. I had m/s with my ds too.

Updated to say: Ok, I had to tell someone IRL!! I broke the news to one of my really good girlfriends last weekend! She's excited for us!!

With DD . . .family was right away (I called my sister and asked, "How MUCH of a line do you have to have to be pregnant?") and told friends at 8 weeks. I told work when I was about 3-4 months.

This time, we told our immediate family right away again, and I told 2 friends. (And all my pals here!!!) Beyond that, I don't think I'll tell until 12 weeks or we hear a heartbeat or I get morning sickness or something. Oh, and I told my dentist this morning, too. I wanted to put my cavity-filling on hold for 9 months!

With my ds, everyone knew within a week, lol. With this babe, we've told my mom, dh's mom, all you wonderful moms here, and a few IRL friends. I have a young half-sister and don't want to tell my dad/stepmom/sister because sister would be completely devastated if something happened to the babe. She has been on to me to have another baby for months! I think we'll probably wait a month or so before I let them know

When we had that m/c scare, we had to tell my family since I had to cancel singing in and doing makeup for my cousins wedding. Now everyone knows!

I cannot decide whether to tell our families next week after my us on Tuesday (which will be 8.5 weeks) or wait until 12 weeks. Because dh is less than excited, I kinda want to go ahead and tell to get him in the spirit!
