Lochia question

I gave birth 10 days ago and the amount of bleeding that I am having is not a concern (pads only need to be changed every 4 hours or so and then they are not saturated, just seems like time to change them).

My concern is that the blood is still bright red. I am sure that it had changed to more pink by this time with my other kids.

When should the lochia change and when should I call my doctor?

I had red bleeding for two weeks. My MW told me it was fine as long as it wasn't too heavy.

I had my baby 8 days ago and am in the same boat. Bright red. My midwife also said it was OK.
