I saw an ad for Rosetta Stone programs in the latest issue of Practical Homeschooling, and was rather impressed with the demo.
We have already selected the Our Lady of the Rosary curriculum for Nate and will probably be doing a little bit of Calvert math a grade level ahead for AJ (on the sly, that kiddo taught himself multiplication this summer...doesn't surprise me as he was in the process of learning it with manipulatives in preschool). AJ desperately wants to stay in his present school, which is fine with me. I don't want to pull him out to full-time homeschool if it is not what he desires. He is pretty excited about HS math enrichment, though.
AJ started with Mandarin Chinese this past winter at the International School of Indiana and really enjoyed it. He found something that was challenging, fun, and I think he shares my interest in foreign language. Nate took up French (which I can speak well enough to get through Montreal and Paris as DH's translator). I was just curious if anyone else has experience with the Rosetta Stone programs, do you like them, do your kids like them, do they work well?
