non-barbie doll clothes patterns?

Hello, Crafty Mamas!

I am in need of a source for non-barbie doll clothes patterns.

My aunt is a great seamstress and wants to make barbie clothes for my dd. Since we don't buy barbies, and I won't have them in the house, I offered to do a little research for my aunt to see if there are alternative doll clothes patterns. Aunt really really wants to make doll clothes. I say, hooray!

DD has a bit larger, real-proportioned doll, as well as the standard baby dolls you might find at big stores.

Any suggestions are welcome.

The big name pattern companies (Simplicity, McCalls, Butterick, Vogue) have clothes patterns for various dolls in the craft sections of their catalogues. You might have to fiddle with them a bit because they might not have the exact dimensions of your dolls. My mind's a blank this morning on some of the doll brand names I've seen in them.

Our public library has books on making dolls' clothes which give basic schematics. I think they tell how to adjust to your dolls' sizes.

I sew very simplistic doll clothes from patterns at Little Joys and Weir Dolls.

I just adjust the pattern slightly to fit different sized dolls

Not sure if that helps or not!
Often, I just make up my own pattern. Maybe your aunt could kind of "wing it" if she had a sample doll to modle on?
