I didn't do Thursday and Friday as I wasn't here. Had an endoscopy and colonscopy done. The paperwork said avoid strenous activity until Sunday, still trying to assess whether or not vac'ing the carpet counts...

I did clean off and dust down the school desk, dust my bookshelf and start on tossing trash in my bedroom

Tonight dd was being too slow so I set the timer and did the dishes, shine one side of sink, clean table and stove off
and I cleaned out my medicine basket..

Not sure what is going to happen with the house blessing later today..

ps

does anyone else have their dh saying "that flylady thing borders on cultishness?"

yep my dh says something very similar, oh well!

My DH says the same things. But hey, if it works he is happy.

I had my sink clean before bed last night. I really need to get back on track. My life has been a mess lately.

If you do all five zones, plus all the freakish once-a-year stuff that obsessive people do all in one week, do you get to take the rest of the month off? OK, I know better. I still need to do the routines and stuff, and there is never an end to what can be decluttered, but I still feel like I deserve a vacation.

My parents, who are also my landlords and have a pathological phobia about dirt (a really, really bad combination) came to visit this weekend. So I spent all of last week cleaning, including baseboards, scrubbing under the sinks, cleaning the trash cans, that sort of nonsense. Not to mention cleaning the carpets, the blinds... Boy am I tired to cleaning. But, my father actually spent a weekend in my house and the only think that he complained about was the mouse poop, and that is a losing battle. Usually he threatens to evict us at least once because we are slo messy. And it was easier this time than last time (pre-FlYing) since so many of the basics were already done.

Now, does anyone have a hint for not losing ground from being in this exalted state of clean? If I had to do all of this, I'd at least like to keep it looking this way for a few days!
