When do I start GD?

I have a seemingly very bright 10 mos. old dd, she's high energy and wonderful! I try to create a positive environment and limit my use of "no", but my dh says "no" more than we both like. It's automatic, he just isn't thinking. He is a great dad and we both want to GD, I need help, too. Where do we start? I saw the list of books, it's a little overwhelming, is there a good one for little ones? I know to redirect, and we do that, this is all new and I'm not trying to be super disciplined, but I want to create a respectful place for all of us. Thanks!

Although I myself us "no' fairly unashamedly, I think others have success putting things in positive terms.

Like if she is trying to stand on a chair you can say "the chair is for sitting" or if she is drawing on the wall with a crayon, you can say "crayons are for using with paper."

Of couse with a babe this young you need to (gently) physically move her while saying this.
