birth pictures being developed?

Anyone have trouble getting "personal" birth pictures developed? I would like to have some for me only but dh doesn't think the store will develop such graphic pictures? Thoughts and experiences?

I've used both Walmart & Eckerd's to develop birth photos in the past. Neither ever seemed to have a problem with it. Those places develop by machine anyway, so it isn't usually a problem. I have also used a photography store for developing and they didn't have a problem either.

Take them to a place where they just pop the roll and run it through the machines. Six years ago mine got developed without a problem, though the "personal" parts were only visible in the mirror, from my perspective. They don't seem to care about boobs, just "hoo ha"s (sorry, saw that on the I'm Pregnant board, haha).

But maybe things have changed. You might talk to the supervisor beforehand, and explain that you have some delicate pictures of your recent baby's birth, and would like them NOT to be censored... That might also help them decide who gets to run them through, like the more mature, BTDT adults, instead of the iffy teenage boy, haha.

When Paityn was born we didnt get any actual birth pics because it was too fast, but very shortly afterward my DH began taking photos of the baby between my legs - not realizing he was getting *everything* between my legs. I didnt realize it either and told him to take the film to WalMart to be developed.

I was pretty surprised when I got them back, but they were all there and no one said a thing about it.

I dont think you will have a problem at all and if you are worried about it, just talk to the manager before you drop the film off.

i've been wondering about this too. last time i didn't want any pictures but this time i do. i'm glad to hear nobody's had a problem with it in the past.

I would call ahead of time and see what their policy is. I mean, they might just them through without looking at them, and then again you might get some crazy person who looks at everything and decides they're pornographic.
