I'm looking for a simple renaissance dress pattern for dd#1. I found some but they were pretty intricate. I'm looking for something simple and sweet.

No prior expirience to offer, but try this site for browsing patterns http://www.sewing-patterns.com/ type 'costumes' or 'renaissance' into the search. There's probably something in there your looking for.

Ain't nothing simpler or sweeter than a t-tunic.

For a girl's ren dress, I'd suggest a floor length chemise and an overdress.

Yup, t-tunics all the way. Just google "how to make a t-tunic"
