Yes, but I use the 2 ply for everything and suggest the 3 ply for night weight soakers/pants/shorts

Ah, my 3 ply is much thinner than the 2 ply, I think that's the difference. Your 3 ply is a bulky weight, right?

Yes my 3 ply is bulky, my 2 ply is close to a heavy worsted(I'd say it's b/t a worsted and heavy worsted?) but what's funny is it's supposed to be SPORT weight and it's no where near sport weight :LOL :LOL
