How'd I get so behind??

Kitty~ So glad you're staying! Half of us will probably deliver in January and March. The babies will come when they are good and ready! And besides, I would have a hard time trusting anything that tech told you. She lies.

AmBam~ Congrats on your new nephew! 11 lbs shouldn't be allowed! Yikes! No wonder she bled a lot.

KateSt.~ Aww. Thank you!

okay, there are just too many of us to do personal replies! :LOL

I never thought about a Meet the Baby party. That sounds more up my alley.
I've been craving eggs and finally gave in last night. I borrowed eggs from mil and made myself a scrambled egg sandwich. It was wonderful!! That's really the only craving I've been having. Other than sex. :ignore

Feeling the sinus headache thing too. What is it about this part of pregnancy? Or is it the time of year?

Can't wait to start nesting. Right now I have absolutely no desire and my house shows it. It's sad really.

[QUOTE=HelloKitty]Eleven pounds!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! That girl deserves some serious huge bouquets of flowers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ouch.

LOL! She always has big babies! This was her 6th. #4 was 11lbs.12oz.! I can't imagine, but she usually does just fine. She has hemmoraged a couple other times just not this bad. Her midwives think it is because she has such quick labors. That she goes so fast her body doesn't have time to react. It just gives out. Who knows. This labor was an hour. with #5 she woke up with a contraction at 2am and baby was born by 2:30am. Half hour!! I can't imagine that either!!

Craving sex???? Why am I the opposite?? NO sex drive. It sucks! (DH thinks so too!!! ) Hopefully it will come back soon. Did this with last pg.

tug - good cop/bad cop You are probably going to think I'm weird, but for some reason that cartoon South Park came to mind when you said that. If you're not a SP fan I won't bother to explain, but it was the episode where they were playing cops, Cartman was bad cop/Kenny good cop/poor Butters was being interrogated. Just waaaay too funny. We're doing all the work ourselves for now and waiting for my father to come up and help. He's a contractor, but with the hurricane hitting so close to home, he's over on the other side of the state making some money so I am going to have to wait a little longer until he comes and does our bathrooms. I will say this - I just want to take a bath!

11 lbs...how many of you did that involuntary clenching up...ummm...no way! Pain, pain, and a little more pain please? **shudder** Are any of you starting to get a little scared yet? I was lying on the couch earlier and I was thinking, uh oh...that's going to hurt...oops.

As for the sex drive...poor DH can't keep up. I keep telling him to enjoy it while he can because he won't be getting any for a long time in a few more months...

Ok, so all this talk about sex and last night I decided to take a bath, shave my legs and just generally clean myself up, since dh was off last night anyway. I think at this point, we've had sex maybe once since our honeymoon (crazy, nutty newlyweds that we are!)
Sorry if this is TMI, it hurt, and I'm not talking sorta hurt, I'm talking I made him stop hurt, then I got up and threw up, I was sure I'd be bleeding or something (mental thing hurt=blood) but I wasn't. I'm still sore this morning!
I have to drop into my doctors office today for a blood pressure check, should I mention it to her??
Shannon, I have that problem from time to time. I can be soooo into it and then all of a sudden it's like I'm being ripped apart from the inside out. (sorry if TMI) I don't know if this is normal or not, but I've heard that some people experience pain during sex while they're pregnant. You're poor DH, mine got so upset the one time because I just started crying and he didn't know what he did or how to fix it. I think it's just one of those things, but I would mention it to your Dr.
Yeah, I was pretty into it (although technically I was done, so I was alright stopping it too) :
Steve didn't seem all that upset last night, probably more frustrated, this morning though he was asking if I was alright and looked all sorry. Of course, I was pissed that he didn't even get up to check on me when I jumped out of bed to puke and nurse my pain, so I just told him I was fine and not to touch me. Hormonal bitch that I am! :

monica and shannon - oww! i would mention it to your doctor, like monica said.

i'm having that craving too, tracie, but i'm on "pelvic rest" too so no nookie for me or dh...hopefully this won't be for the whole next six months.

i really like southpark, although we don't have cable so i've only seen it a couple of times (didn't see the movie, heard it was not so great). poor kenny. wish i'd seen the good cop/bad cop one...
mmm, cheesypoofs.

have a good day everybody!!

I'm such a South Park ho I have the first four seasons on DVD and my MIL bought DH the movie as a congrats for graduating from college gift. I have the say the movie was beyond hilarious, especially if you watch it with the subtitles on...my god, the profanity.

Now for my question. I just got in a minor wreck . No damage to the car or me. I'm just wondering if I should bother trying to get through to someone on the phone at the OB/GYN clinic. I wasn't hurt in any way, but I know my blood pressure's most likely still through the roof since I'm so furious still. I just wonder what I should do since I'm going to the beach for the weekend and I'll be very far from the doctor if something should happen.
Eeeek painful sex. That's no fun. Definetly ask your doc, you never know - s/he may have a cure. My sex drive was in overdrive until about two weeks ago, I guess my hormones are evenly out. I kind of miss it! :LOL

Since the ultrasound fiasco I've been thinking a lot about not finding out the sex afterall. We don't really care either way and it will be fun to keep the surprise. I mean we will be co-sleeping for long time so it's not like we need to decorate a nursery and we have plenty of neutral clothes to get us through the newborn stage. Besides if we do finally have a girl I'm sure there will be plenty of relatives and friends that will shower us with pink stuff! Now I just need to convince my DH....

Monica - I would call your doc and just let them know about the accident. I'm sure all is fine but they might have some things for you to watch out for and that will help ease your mind.

Ok ladies, you have been chatty!

Well went to the Breast Health Centre and they said it was an abcess that was pretty large. They are very rare, but think that I could have it from a hair follicle, or something of that nature.
Anyway, they wanted to lance and drain it, but I refused, as I had 20 month old dd with me, and I wanted to see if the antibiotics worked first. The Dr. said that she didn't think that they would work, as it is so big.
They are pretty concerned about it, so told me to give it 24 hrs and it should look and feel significantly better. Well, it's nearly 24 hrs and it looks just the same.
Hmmmm, not too thrilled, but I guess I have to go and bite the bullet and get my nipple cut open!!! Fun, anyone want to come along and hold my hand?

Ok, now got to find someone to look after dd. Hope dh is not busy at work.

Have a good weekend ladies, oh, by the way I'm 16 weeks today!!!!!!

Okay ladies,
This is no ordinary headache. I'm on day 3. It still F'in HURTS!!! I have tried: steam, neti pot, massage, elevated head while sleeping, saline spray, Afrin (finally caved), caffiene, tons of water...no dice. I finally called my mom and asked her what I can take, and she said sudafed and Tylenol. Took some about 15 mintues ago, praying that it finally works. I feel awful.

I'd like to reply to everyone, but I'm just not up to it right now.

Ella - I had to have an absess drained last year - it was huge. The draining really wasn't bad. (In my case the next day the lump came back - just as big. So a few months later I had to have it operated on and removed. Turned out to be a huge cyst.) You should totally let them drain it though just to make sure there is nothing to worry about there (they can tell from the fluid if there is something to be worried about) again, it's really not bad. They numb the area and you don't feel anything. You'll be a little sore afterwards but nothing too bad. We will be holding your hand in spirit

Lesley - I hope your headache gets better!!!!!

Ella, I'm sorry to hear about your abcess. I'm glad it isn't anything more serious than that. I had a lump when I was 21, and they thought it was fluid so they tried to drain it, and it wasn't bad. Turned out to be a cyst that they had to remove, and I still have a scar and lower milk production on that side. It might be good to get it taken care of so that it won't interfere with your ability to breastfeed. I hope it goes okay for you.

Monica,
That stinks about your accident! I would probably call the doc too, just to be sure, but if you walked away from the accident okay, you're probably going to be fine, and so will the bean.

My head is feeling a little less pressure-y, so maybe the sudafed is statring to work, yay!

Well, just got back from the doctors, forgot to ask about the sex since my bp was 140/107 when the nurse took it. She went to get my doctor and she just came in shaking her head saying "You're going to make me put you on more medication!" So I'm now on the lowest possible dose of blood pressure medication and have to go into labor and delivery tomorrow to have my bp checked.
Monica, I too would probably call them just to be sure, I wouldn't worry if you were going to be around all weekend, but....
Lesley, would you like me to fed-ex you some demerol??
I hope the headache goes away for you soon, just a thought though, have you checked your blood pressure???
Hi all! I haven't been keeping up with how you ladies are doing, it was just too hard. Just stopping in to say that I am pregnant again. A HUGE surprise as I didn't let dh near me without a condom, but here we are. It's only been 6 weeks since the m/c. And this time it seems i get to go through the whole morning sickess that I have manages to miss with all my previous pregnancies.
Seren--I am so happy for you The morning sickness will suck to go through again, but your a strong woman and you'll make it. You will be in my prayers!

Shannon- Oh my that is a high BP. How much protien are you getting in each day?? Hopefully the meds will help, PIH sucks. Eat as well as you can!
Seren, thanks for dropping by!! and big congratulations and sticky vibes going out to you!!
Jen, I'm not getting terribly much protein, it still just doesn't want to stay down. I did a 24 hour urine last weekend and she said my results were excellent, couldn't have been better, so at least we know I'm not spilling any protein. The main problem is that it doesn't stay high all the time, it's up and down, but today's reading is the 4th time it's been that high in a couple weeks so she put me a very low dose of the bp med. Also my heart rate was 129, which is really high for me. I just took my bp again here and it's down to 128/89, I don't know if it's the meds kicking in right away or if it would have dropped anyway.

Seren, Good job, so glad that you are pregnant!

Lesley, hope that headache goes away. I had a headcahe ( not terribly bad ) for about 2 weeks a while back. It just makes you want to get into bed and sleep for ages.

Shannon, hang in there girl. Hope the bp meds work for you. It is hard for me to get the protein in, and I just have wierd food aversions, not the crap that you were experiencing. Thinking of you.

Well wnet and got my abcess drained yesterday. They cut an inch along my areola (sp?) and some of the yucky stuff came out. When I asked about the pain afterwards, he said " oh, I think you are over estimating the pain of it" Hmmm, I'll cut an inch incision in your penis and see whether or not it hurts buddy!! Well it was very sore that evening, I had to take some Tylenol, and also a little today, but so far I don't feel too bad.
The wound is open, no stitches and I can see the infection inside. Sorry if this is too much info.
He told me to put hot compresses on it, but I am thinking that that probably isn't too hygenic?
Just hope that it doesn't interfere with the bfeeding.
Thanks for all your thoughts and well wishes.

Have a good w/end xx Jasmine

Wow, I totally have had MDC withdrawel, and it was down less than a day. I'm so hooked.

Seren - congrats...

shannon - bummer about the BP medicine

Ella - HOLY COW and inch along your nipple, and its not supposed to be that painful. YIKES!! I wouldn;t think hotcompress would be good on an open wound... but what do I know.

So, the midwife appointment yesterday went okay overall. i've gained a whole pound. Which since i had lost a pound last appointment didn't make her too happy. She doesnt' think I'm eating enough, specifically of protein (i don't have ketones in my urine yet, but evidently it was "close" whatever that means) So my goal is to now focus on eating more frequent, high protein snacks - yogurt, cheese, peanut butter. bleck. And i must eat my eggs every day. double bleck.

But the baby's heartrate is great, 156-159ish. My fundal height is measuring 18cm. she says i'm not going to be a stickerouter (lol - i asked if that was a technical term), because i'm quite long waisted. I want a cute preggo belly tho... My pulse and bloodpressure are also hunky dory.

hope you're all having a fabulous weekend
