How did you choose your username?

What does your username mean? How did you come up with it? Please feel free to share with the rest of us.

Okay... I have always liked the sound of Raven.

In Celtic Mythology Badb was a goddess of war and she often took upon the guise of a Raven (or a wolf) during a battle to fend for her side.

Then there is the Poem by Edgar Allan Poe "The Raven" ...

But it was when I read the book On Raven's Wing by Morgan Llywelyn that I was drawn the Raven and since then I have used it for almost everything.

I chose my name because it almost the same as my email and I have a terrible time remembering such things. Also because Hippiemama was already in use but that is what most folks who know me call me.

Raven I have to tell you that my Dd loves you, she sees your name on the screen and wants me to read your post whatever it may be about. She doesn't know anyone else irl with the same name as her so she gets such I kick seeing yours on the screen.

Our last name is Cooper and then I got pregnant and there would be/is a mini Cooper plus I LOVE the cars but will never be able to have one so... yeah... I'm minicooper every where on the net

I used to be wendawg (first name is Wendy) but now I'm minicooper and variations of minicooper when the name was already taken

SCA - Society for Creative Anachronism (sp?)

They are a Medieval Recreation Group covering the period of 600 to 1600 AD.

I used to be in the SCA, for many, many years. Haven't done anything recently, but I had a blast while I did it!

I haven't been in it for many, many years either. The group in Seattle was very snooty when I moved here. Not sure if they still are. Very title conscious if you know what I mean.

We call my son ChiCho... I wanted to put "mami," but I didnt know if people would get it. lol

Everywhere else though my name has something jungle(music) related in it. lol Thought it was time for a mami like change.

1) mermaid + mommy ( I'm a pisces)
2) most people shorten my name ( myriah) to Myr it would be myr-mommy but I liked the e better than the y in the username.

I just saw your post. It's interesting, at least to me, some of our similarities! My husband drives a Mini Cooper, (never say that you won't be able to have one, he used to say that!)!!! And, my name is also Wendy! And, my husband used to work in Vancouver! (we lived in Bellingham,Wa.)!!

To answer the question, my screen name is such because, my dh and I love all the retro space stuff!

Well usually I choose a screan name with my name in it Shari, but for some reason my account here with the name Shari wouldn't activate, so I changed it to M2K meaning, Mommy to Kaitlyn. Sorry it's not very creative, I just didn't know what else to choose

hehe. Mine comes from umeboshi-(japanese pickled plums) and fey- as in fairy folk. hehe.
