My lovely DH and I have been TTC # 1 so there has been ALOT of talk about me being pregnant. One day we were talking and he just kind of looked at me like I know that look on your face and then he says "I want pickles and icecream NOW!" So this last cycle there was alot of effort put into making our baby. He tells me that he thinks that I am pregnant. So I called him at work and I said "I want dill pickles and strawberry icecream now" He laughed at me. I guess he thought I was serious. After he came home from work I noticed some strawberry ice cream in the freezer, I said mmm he got me ice cream. Then a while later he says "did you see I got what you asked for?" So I went back into the kitchen to get a glass of water, and on the counter was giant jar of dill pickles. And my mouth just dropped open like he actually bought me dill pickles and strawberry ice cream!! Oh the things a man will do when he is in love!

I picked my username because that's what my username is for all registering online. I have 4 kids, and as we all know, pregnancy completely removes your all memory cells! lol

My husband's nickname for me is chickeymonkey , so that's how it originated. (His nickname is chunkymonkey.)

HaydensMommy08 was taken which is usually what I use so, I used my ebay name! lol Plus, I am married to the Army. Or, at least to my husband, who is married to the Army. Here are a couple of quotes that I enjoy that are related to my name:

"If the Army wanted you to have a wife they would issue you one!"

&

"The Army is my husband's mistriss and that bitch gets all of the attention!"

It's a variation of the name of a farm we used to own in upstate NY. I use it, or something close, on most boards.

Katie is a variation of my middle name, and Bonita was a nickname from childhood. It's a new combination for me, but it's like putting on comfortable clothing. It felt good straight away.

My name is based on a sad story On Christmas Day of 2007 three teenaged boys got drunk in the zoo parking lot, then they taunted and threw things at Tatiana one of the tigers at the SF zoo. She became angry and managed to jump over the fence. She did what comes naturally to a tiger, she hunted her prey. Sadly, she killed one of the boys and seriously injured another. The zoo was not prepared to handle a tiger escaping. They called the police, who shot and killed Tatiana. I chose my username to honor Tatiana, an innocent animal who was killed in an unfortunate situation.

I love that you chose to honor the tiger that way.

Mine was a result of searching for a phrase from Neil Gaiman's oracular journal. I went to his site, and shook the crystal ball until it came up with something I could use.

Since having my first son, Christofer, who became "Tofer" I've used tofersmomma as my alias on most i-net sites. Problem now is I'm expecting #2 and won't just be "tofersmomma" but I still love the sound of it! So I'm still registering on sites with it!

My name is Jessica but most call me Jes. So pretty much it just means me being honest and straightforward. I am who I am and I love it.

My username comes from my blog, which comes from a poem that was read at my wedding. I've really never been much of a poetry person, but I found this in my vintage copy of "Our Bodies Ourselves," and recited into my now-husband's voicemail one tipsy night. I love this poem. Plus, I'm 6' and he's 6'7" so it just makes sense.

Love Song of a Species
think of
long tall animals
making love
into themselves
breaking themselves
together
swallowing
each other's air
each other's songs
think of these
animals
not knowing
their species
their strangeness
think of them
trying to tell each other
all day long
with words
think then
of the most
natural
way of
saying
I love you
eyes
mouth
a place
there is a place
that has no thoughts
think of something
of a thing that cannot think
inside a place
that cannot contain thoughts
think of these things together not thinking
think of the most natural way to think of this
then unthink everything that follows from that
then sleep
a sleep
in which all dreams
and these words
are stolen from the dream
you are having
