Remembering Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

Today, in reading the paper, they had a notice that Dr. Elizabeth Kubler-Ross past away on Tuesday at the age of 78 after a prolonged bout with an illness.

She wrote the wonderful, pioneered book "On Death and Dying" and also theorized the five stages of grief. She also pioneered hospice care. She was an amazing woman who wrote 12 books that focused on subjects such as AIDS and coping with the death of a child. Even TIME Magazine named her one of the "100 Most Important Thinkers" of the past century.

We have talked about her books and work here in the Grief and Loss forum so many times and feel that I should honor her work and memory here.

In Peace~

She was an amazing woman. I once attended one of her lectures in Munich - and I never forgot her charisma and the simple beauty of her words... I love her books and I am grateful for the work she did. May she dance through the galaxies now, as she wished for.....

Thank you Lisa - I own a few of her books.

She is a life worth celebrating. I'll light a candle for her today.

Thank you Lisa,
I've read a couple of her books and even heard her talk after my cousin committed suicide. She helps my aunt and our family so very much.

Peace.
