Here I am...in about one month we have to get my 2.5 year olds teeth filled (all 5 cavities!) I am totally freaked and also sad that the dental forum is no longer there- Boy could I use some mental support of other mommies right now!
We found out when she was about 18 months that she had carries- I decided to wait because I felt she was not ready for any kind of treatment- Now she is saying they hurt a bit and this is scary b.c our appointment is not for another month- We are doing the general route after much debate on the conscoius sedation....(I think there was too much work to be done to have her go thru. (( 4 fillings and one pulpectomy)
Has anyone else experienced this situation where you cannot get in sooner to the dentist than you would like to?
The wait is so hard- I know it gives us more time to prepare but what if she needs real help tommorrow?
How do you know when to call it an emergency? I don't see any white bubbles as I have read- She just points and says it hurts about 2 times a day... I just don't want her to be in any kind of pain! I give her meds for pain but this is not heathly to be on tylenol for a month!!!!
