I had my wisdom teeth extracted 6 months ago. I remember coming here a lot because my recovery was hell. I initially saw my dentist because one of them had become infected and was quite painful. (Actually, it turned out three were infected but I only noticed one. Sometimes having a high pain tolerance is not such a good thing!) I was treated with antibiotics and once the infection cleared I had the surgery done and was given antibiotics again. Disn't like all the AB but could not have coped with anymore disconfort than I had after the surgery.
I have been noticing that the spot whre the infection was last winter sometimes gets quite tender and inflamed again. It dies down after a day or so, but I wonder what is causing this? IS it something I should make a special appointment to see the dentist about - I am not due to go for a few more months but no longer want to wait and see if things clear up on their own when it comes to dental pain!
