Hi mamas!
I hope everyone is doing well, starting to feel a little better and have more energy. I just had an appt last weds and heard the heartbeat!! I'm so excited! With ds, they couldn't clearly hear the heartbeat until around 20 weeks, but she said she could hear it even tho I couldn't pick it out. So it was such a treat to hear this little one's heartbeat so early (11wks) as compared to my ds.
My appt was with a great nurse who used to do home births before she came to this practice. Unfortunately, she can no longer attend hb, but is willing to give me some references for someone who will attend hb. I'm entertaining the thought of a hb to allow the possibility of a water birth, which the local hospital will not allow (although they are wonderfully supportive in all my other choices). I found that I was MUCH more comfortable in the water during my last labor. There are no other opportunities for a water birth that does not involve driving in commute traffic for at least an hour - not my idea of fun while in labor. I will likely have a short labor this time, so every little bit counts.
I'll stop rambling now. Hope everyone is doing well!!
