Mama cloth PUL or wool?

Hi Mamas

I CD my DC and am interested in using mama cloth. I only use wool on my dc. I feel bad even looking at PUL for myself. Is this silly? Do you have recommendations for mama cloth and is your recommendation PUL or wool or what? Thanks for the help.

I don't use any waterproof barrier; just change them often.

I don't use a waterproof barrier either. I use them as a back up for my diva cup and have never had a problem with them soaking through. (I have a very heavy flow) By the time that would happen I would have changed it anyhow because it was uncomfortably wet.

Neither here either. You really don't lose that much fluid, and changing frequently prevents leaks. Pul/wool feels hot anyway.

I wouldn't do PUL.

I've got some pantyliners that have no backing and some heavier-duty pads that have fleece for the moisture barrier. So I vote fleece (cheaper than wool and seems to be washing machine friendly).

Thanks! Recommendations?

Where do you buy your non-PUL mama cloth? Thanks again for your help.

I got mine at Hidden Pearl Creations. They're on the custom page. I'm too poor to get more of her ladyglow pads (but I so them) so I'm planning on making some of my own out of prefolds and some fleece remnants if I can track some down.

Or Freshies (www.freshies.ca) has wool-backed pads.

HTH!

I have always made my own. First, from the prefolds my daughter no longer needed and then from diaper flannel Wal-Mart. I have never but in a moisture barrier either, just change as needed.
