Not pregnant yet but we are ttc.
Recently found a midwife in our area that charges
$20 for prenatal visits and $1,000 for the delivery at my home and the postpartum visits.

So It will probably run us about $1500 after its all said and done!

Mine is $2150. Which includes all prenatal care, she draws my
blood and about 3 post partum visits. I am hoping Aetna will reimburse 80% so I will roughly pay about $200.

My lay-midwife asks $2,000 for prenatal, homebirth, postpartum, and any tests (minimal)+ you pay other expences such as classes, herbs and birthing supplies. It ends up around 2,500. This is near Dallas. I understand the average expense varies by region. Some midwives are willing to work with you so that you can afford their services.

Man- if i could just convince dh to let me have an unassisted homebirth- if it's lower cost- he'd be all for it!!!!

Sorry- not an answer! I had a hospital birth. I don't know how much it cost. We had a 100$ copay for me, and 100$for the baby, even though he roomed in with me.

$2300 for mine i f you went through insurance (she did billing) or $1800 if you made payments and did it without insurance. Best money we ever spent!
