DENTAL How young for a child/toddler to have gum with xylitol?

Obviously, too young if the gum is a significant choke hazard. But does anyone know when gum is an okay thing?

Thanks.

Another option would be the liquid variety of Xylitol - I got some from my dentist that I apply with a cotton swab. The brand name is Spry. HTH!

We have the Spiffies wipes so I have xylitol that way...was wondering about the gum.

If you are worried about the choking hazard of gum, or gum on your carseats, hair, etc, xylitol mints (also available in fruit flavors) are also available.

If I'm not mistaken, the Spry mints even have more xylitol per mint than the gum does. But I can't remember for sure which is which.

HTH!
