Committment to Excersize!! - Page 3

bump, bump, de bump

How is everyone?

I feel like I've had a mini-breakthrough. Lost an inch from my waist and five pounds. DH said I look fantastic -nice of him to notice. Best of all-I feel *great.*

Wow that's great Ladylee!
I want some more inches off, but I think I'll need to incorporate some more aerobic activity. I did read that postpartum weight loss is easier when breastfeeding between 6 and 12 months postpartum.

I have been lurking here since the thread started....

But I have started an excercise regime, and have been following it religiously....I didn't realize how out of shape I had gotten until I saw pics of myself as a "maid of honour" a few weeks ago.!

So, I guess I'm in, can always use extra support, as obviously dh doensn't mind my weightgain...I'm glad he loves me for who I am, but maybe the odd comment to better myself would be appreciated...I did tell him this in a fit of histerics when I saw the picks.....

Strength and persaverence to all!

bellydancing is sooooooooooooooooooooo
the best and most fun excercise Ive done
Im going to a class 1 x week and I feel great
The first classes I rediscovered muscles in my body that I belive had been still for years!
I thought carrying a toddler around was plenty excercise but nono...... dancinng and sweating feels soooooooooooo good!

That's great, Luma! It should be fun, shouldn't it! I'm still doing my thing--as much as possible. DH has been traveling a lot, which means I can't get to the gym & it's more challenging to get decent exercise, but I manage. Still doing yoga, hiking, weight training & pilates. But I'm a bit bored.

ladylee thats lots of excercise!
today we had a workshop with a great bellydancer called Jasmina, she is so beautiful and dances amazingly and it was great fun, it was for all of the groups so the kids group was there too, they are so cute and sweet, 4 and 5 year olds! So so so so sweet! The music was so good and Jasmina a great inspiration, I think shes 50 something and she looks 30ish and glows!

You go, Ladylee!
I finally went back to the gym yesterday.. did just 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer.. it was hard but felt great.
I am five months post partum and only starting to exercise again and ooh I am outta shape!

I am going to swim this afternoon..
and I have signed up for two early am yoga classes a week. That way I really won't be away from DS anymore, since he's still asleep at that time.. with DH.

I pop into the gym right after work, so that's just an extra 45 minutes. I am aiming for 3 days at the gym plus the two Yoga classes. I sort of feel guilty about it.. but I need to do it to be healthy.

I am going to visit some friends that I haven't seen in a while next month.. and I really don't want them talking about how awful I look. Is that totally neurotic and shallow?
asherah, not neurotic or shallow at all! I'm sure it's not what's driving you deep inside--as you said before you want to do it for your health. You've got a great program lined up--how's it going?

I kept my promises to myself this week & worked out each night. It feels really, really good.

Well, I'm jumping in again. Been either running, weightlifting or doing yoga each day for the last few weeks. It makes such a difference. I have a hard time with consistency, but I'm trying to make it work. You all are my inspiration, keep the posts coming!!!!! Ladylee, sounds like you're really getting in the groove. What's your secret?

That's great, Sahara--stick with it! Yeah, I'm on a roll--fueled by vanity & my daughter weaning herself. I finally have enough stamina to keep up with a more strenuous regimen than just doing yoga.
