I have always just put water in my hand and swished after brushing. My kids want to use a cup. So, do you do one perkid and wash the daily, one per bathrooma nd wash daily, have them bring a cup and return it to the kitchen, leave one in the bathroom till it needs to be washed, use dixie cups?

We don't keep cups in the bathroom. I've taught the kids to cup their, hopefully freshly-washed, hands for rinsing.

On the occasions we're doing saltwater or using a mouthwash, we use a cup or the lid designed to be used as a cup.

We use our hand.

I use my hand. But when I was a kid I had to have a cup and I had to rinse over and over. Most toothpastes have a really overpowering flavor to me and it was worse when I was a child. I hate mint! Now I use a fairly bland-tasting Tom's of Maine toothpaste and a handful of water is enough to rinse with.

I just use my hands, but DH has to have a cup. So he keeps a glass by the sink (wouldn't recommend glass for the kiddos though ). I swap it out with a clean one when I notice it's getting dirty - if it weren't for my swap every few days I don't think that cup would EVER get washed!

I have always had a cup or glass that gets washed about twice a MONTH by putting it w/dirty dishes and bringing a clean cup to the bathroom. It's really not necessary to wash it daily when you're only using it for water.

I've always either been sharing the bathroom w/people who didn't use a cup, or had a separate cup for each person. This can be helpful if the people don't exchange saliva normally, so that if one gets sick the others are less likely to catch it. If they routinely share drinks or kiss on the lips anyway, may as well share a cup.
