Waldorf Doll Hair?

I am starting to make Waldorf Dolls (hopefully to sell at some point, I'm going to school to eventual teach at a waldorf school & hope to supplement my income)
anyways
The instructions in "Making Soft Dolls" (out of print waldorf book) had you sewing the yarn hair through the skin. This did not work, the darner threaded with yarn is too big to go through the fabric.
Tried to sew a bunch of yarn together (flat) to sew it on the head to a wig. Looks like that might work but very time-consuming.
I just ordered some wool roving and a felting needle. Apparently with a felting needle you can "root" wool hair to the head of a cloth doll. has anyone tried this? Any ideas for me? This system seems ideal, I am hoping it turns out good.

EErr..look at the instructions LaLa has on her website..it is different than what you described...maybe the way she has will work better...

Sewing it through the head is pretty effective with a long needle, some strength and a thimble. Good Luck!
