I tried the recipe listed in the reciple list for laundry soap and much to my dismay it did not work. I had bought a bar of lavendar vegetable oil soap and melted it although it was a little gloppy but very viscous. I stirred it into the washing soda/water mix and let it sit over night. This morning I checked on it and there was a 3/4" thick layer of stuff with water separated underneath. I am so bummed! What went wrong?
