A BEAUTIFUL story of a homebirth - IN THE NEWS!!!

This is a story of a local woman who planned a homebirth. Turns out the midwife and her husband didn't make it.

What was so sweet about the story is that the family was ready and after some initial shock, the kids knew just what to do.

The story aired on our local news and they portrayed the family in a very loving way, not some 'freaks who planned a homebirth'. It really was a sweet story - made me teary eyed.

What a nice story!

No judgment on either the homebirth or homeschooling. It was just sweet:-)

Oh! *snif* How wonderful.

I love the way there was no sense that it was dangerous or a disaster narrowly averted. They wrote about it so ... peacefully.

*sniff* I got all teary eyed. I love how beautiful and calm the article was and how smart the little girl sounded and how the little boy touched the baby's head before going out to wait for his dad and how homeschooling seemed like it was a normal everyday thing that everyone did and...well, I just loved it all!

AWESOME!! Can you imagine being the dad coming home, and getting that news from his child as he got out of the car? Nicely written too. Thanks for sharing !!
