So here I am sitting at home watching a re run of Quantum Leap. It is the episode called The Leap Home. And he is trying to tell his family what is going to happen in the future and is singing Imaginw to his little sister. And I am sitting here crying!!
I loved this show. I wish it hadn't been cancelled so soon....there were moments that are just brilliant.
Any other Quantum Leap fans out there???
PLease tell me I am not alone....:

Ugh - I forgot this is the one where Sam jumps into his brother's unit in Vietnam.....more tears. Maybe I am just hormonal.

oooh, i love that show. i don't see it these days, but when shoshanna was a newborn and up all night, i watched the midnight showings on sci-fi every night.
my favorite episodes are where he is a woman and gets to kick the snot out of some sexual deviant man.

Oh gosh, more than you'd ever now. I absolutely LOVE that show and have seen every episode several times. I just don't admit it very often!! Scott Bakula is a total horndog- I love his character in Quantum Leap especially- kind, sweet, sensitive, and those eyes.. drooooool. Hum... And yes, that episode where he sings Imagine is beautiful. And it is so sad as well- being with his family and wanting to tell them what is going on- wanting to save his dad from a heart attack And his brother from going to Vietnam.

Ok, before I start to sound obsessive, I will go Nice to know there are other fans out there...

I loved that show too! In college I was able to catch it a couple of times a day!!!

One of my favorites was when he "leaped" into the body of a patient in a mental institution who was receiving shock treatments.

Oooh, yes - Shock Therapy - GREAT episode. Am also very partial to A Leap for Lisa, when Sam leaps into Al. Also love the episode when he leaps to VietNam and it turned out later that Sam had the opportunity to save Al from the POW camp but Al didn't tell him because he wasn't there to save Al. *SOB* - I LOVE that show. Simply love it. Can't think of a single episode I couldn't watch again and again and again.

But the very last episode kills me- I can't believe that Sam never returned home DId anyone else hear that the Sci Fi channel are planning to make a QL movie, but without Scott Bakula in it? They are hoping that it will lead to a new series, but with a new time traveller. I can't see that it will be the same without Sam and Al in it.

You're right, SDmummy, it could never be as good without Scott Bakula.

Okay, so someone tell me all about the last episode. I've never seen it though I've seen almost all the rest. Wish I got the Sci-Fi channel.

I LOVE this show too! My mom and I used to watch it together when I was in high school, with my dad making smart (cute) comments in the background...he always got a good giggle out of the episodes when sam jumped into a woman's body! I haven't watched it lately though. I too loved Scott Bakula!!! Any remake would be so stupid without him in it!

A truly wonderful show, one of those rare gems that makes owning a tv worthwhile. When the show was first on I was sort of into krisna conciousness and really liked how the show was like a metaphor for reincarnation (ok back when I did LOADS of LSD). Then for a while I watched all the reruns on SciFi channel several times. It's been a while since I've seen it,maybe it's time I watch them again. Lately I've been watching old Twilight Zones on scifi,it had been a good 15 years since I saw most of those too.
