Someone ripped down my NOCIRC posters!

Last week, I put up some flyers for the NOCIRC essay contest at my college, and damned if they weren't ripped down when I went back today! (I go two nights a week.) It isn't as if the bulletin boards were purged; I recognized a lot of the same flyers and advertisements. There were blank spots where the NOCIRC flyers had been. I don't know if it was administration, or just a student they offended, but whoever it was went through a lot of trouble to take them down. : I find that highly rude. It took a lot of my ink to print those, and I would print them at school, except the printers there are black & white only. Maybe I will use their printers anyway. :

I hope they were able to reach some people before that jerk, whoever it was, took them down.

UUUGH... that bites. You know you can grab the text off the NOCIRC website and cut and past it into a word file- it fills a single page perfectly. I printed those out on neon paper... I couldn't afford to do the color flyers.

Keep trying- you never know- maybe the person who took down the flyers was going to enter the contest and was trying to reduce the competition!

A kind of snarky idea... is to put a post-it under the flyer- so if someone takes down your flyer they will see a second message- "If circumcision is our culture... how come we can't talk about it?"

You're right, Sarah. I never though that maybe they were just trying to reduce the competition. I always assume the worst. :LOL

I also love your Post-It idea. That's exactly what I'm going to do! Thanks!

a tiny bit of devils advocate here: at many schools there are rules for posting stuff on bulletin boards. Sometimes you have to take it to a particular office and get a little stamp on your flyer, poster, etc... Is it possible that is why they were taken down?

Nah.. there's no rule like that at this school. I've posted stuff on the boards before with no problem (but it's usually my textbooks for sale).

I would double check and make sure you are following the rules.

Then I would print out a copy and KINKO it. Kinko's might be cheaper than printing your own.
