Never made any, but I have a pair of Padraigs for my ds this winter and they are WONDERFUL! The yarn is very, very thick and chunky and connected to the leather (which has fleece on the inside, btw) via punched holes around the edges.

Good luck!

I tried crocheting slippers just like those- with a nice sheepskin base.... but the slipper ended up sinking on my dd's feet and her feet wouldn't stay on the base. maybe it would have worked OK if i had made it snugger where the slipper met the base. i didn't use a pattern...

mythreesuns- great slippers! wow! do you have a pattern? i have some suede that i'd love to sew slippers with.

No pattern, I made my own templates. Now I just have to find feet to try them on!
I am going to make some today that are actually my ds's size. Didn't want to make a huge pair of shoes and use up a bunch of leather only to screw up, KWIM? So I made some small ones first. I have found, the smaller they are, the harder they are to make. Oiy.

bumping just in case anyone knows of a pattern.

do they have to be crochet? Can you knit? Fiber trends has several felted mocs patterns and you can buy the leather bottoms to sew on to them at most yarn stores (or online for that matter if you dont have a good local yarn place that carries them)
I think its www.fibertrends.com
