I met my midwife!

I'm so excited. I was a little stressed about finding a midwife in my area. I would have prefered having a UC but dh adamently refused to agree with it. While I could have very well done it without his "permission" I wanted his support and I wanted the experience to be positive for him. Long story short, of my 4 kids he's only biologically the youngest's father and my pregnancy and birth were both scary and so he's a bit frightened to do anything "out of the ordinary". I was glad that he agree'd easily to the homebirth, that I would have fought him on.

Anyway, when I was searching for midwives I found that they seemed to be scarce in my area. I had heard of Beah Hager a few times so I decided to see if she does HB in my area and she does. When I first talked to her on the phone I wasn't sure if I'd like her or not, but as soon as she walked into the room I adored her. I don't know what it is, but she seems to have a glow about her. It's calming. I didn't even go home to think about whether or not to hire her. I knew right off the bat that she was the one for me and I'm thrilled

We are having a homebirth with Beah in January! We interviewed quite a few MW's and upon meeting Beah I felt such a sence of clamness and compitency with her.

She has been just wonderful during my prenatal care thus far.

I'm sure you will be very pleased with her as well!

ETA: Her last name is Haber, just in case anyone else is wanting to contact/interview her

Yay, I didn't know there were any other Tracy moms here. I was starting to feel lonely!
