I'm trying to save a foreskin on SATURDAY...411 fast...

I have some good friends that are going to have their 1st in January! I asked if they were going to circ and he said YES! I talk to Z and started to tell him some things he has never heard...I told him when I saw him on Saturday I will give him some great info...he seemed very open to information....Please links and anything else to help me *gently* make my case against CIRC.

Probably the best all purpose info is the Fleiss article. It covers most of the bases. However, it doesn't go in depth with research, etc. and may not do the trick.

What you really need to know is what justification they are using to make their decision and then you can provide lots of information about that reason. That focused approach will work far better than a scatter gun approach.

How great that he is open to information.

It occurs to me that in addition to information you might provide him with some printed versions of the threads here.... If you regret circumcising post here... or one I started about who influenced your thoughts about circumcision (this is not the exact title)....

PS I would include information on the function of the foreskin as well as any information addressing the dubious claims of benefits of the surgery. If I locate good links I will edit to add them. Anyone else?

I'm glad it went well....I wouldn't count your chickens, though, given they have until January. I would definitely do some follow-up just in case they get tackled by pro-circ family, etc.

But let's keep our fingers crossed! Good for you for taking the initiative!
