Pro circ activism??? Look what I found:

http://www.cafepress.com/cp/browse/?...&zoom=yes#zoom

I didn't know that there were people (aside from formula manufacturers) that actually advocated for harming newborns.

Are you kidding? There are lots of people out there advocating for cirucmcision! Circlist, the Acorn society, Dr. Weiss, Wiswell, Schoen, etc. etc. Look in my site in the link under "doctors".

Oh, absolutely! Both individuals and organizations. The two main groups are religious based and fetish groups but there are also businesses that advocate it such as The Circumcision Center in Atlanta who advocates it for adults but if you read carefully between the lines, also puts out a subtle message supporting infant circumcision.

These groups are also trying to build a higher profile and to get their members in influential places. They can often be found at circumcision debate sites similar to this forum and were here when this was a debate format. There was one (suspected) here for a brief period after the change to a support site but he "magically" disappeared. (Thanks, Mods! :LOL)

After you've been at this as long as I have, it becomes easy to spot them. They all have a similar posting style. It's a friendly, non-aggressive and persuasive style that's designed to mislead and misinform parents while getting their trust. Every single one of them says that the AAP recommends circumcision and that there are definite and demonstrable health benefits. Of course, that's a lie but they couch it in such a way that it would seem logical to the uninitiated. It's all a part of their trickery.

Oh Frank. That's THE most disgusting thing I've heard all day. The Acorn Society?? Great name for a bunch of nuts. So this used to be a debate forum? When did they change it?
Yep, The Acorn Society. The symbolism is apparent. There's also The Gilgal Society that has some connection to ritual circumcision in the name "Gilgal" and there's The Roundheads and Cavaliers, again with apparent symbolism and Circlist (aka. "Sicklist," an appropriate nickname) plus others. "Nuts" is an appropriate description. They get sexual satisfaction from watching videos of circumcisions, collect circumcision tools and paraphernalia, etc.

This forum used to be called "To Circumcise Or Not To Circumcise" if I remember correctly and while it was not as contentious as some other sites, the decision was made a couple of years ago that this site should reflect the corporate policy of Mothering Magazine and should be a support site for ending circumcision and for mothers who chose to not circumcise. It has worked very well as it has become the "go to" site for correct information not only for mothers of intact sons but mothers who circumcised and have complications or problems they are trying to deal with.

O.K. THAT is THE MOST DISGUSTING thing I have heard. Ever. How sad and sickening.

Maybe those who oppose circ should be even more vocal. I was searching for anti-circ t-shirts earlier and was unable to find any. There were two, but one was white (I don't wear white, I have two small kids) and the other was "Intact and Lovin it". Also doesn't apply because I don't have sons. If anyone has any links to t-shirt sales, I would appreciate them.

You would think that as atrocious as circ is, that the government would step in and put a mandate on it to stop it immediately. One can only dream.

Here's some ideas for you:

And actually, I just used one of my favorite black tank-tops, took it in to the local t-shirt print shop and had it printed with graffitti-style lettering that says, "Breastfeeding for All, Circumcision for None". It was 10 dollars, and worth every penny!

Hope this helps!

(And Hi Frank - just thought I'd mosey over here and see what's cooking - BBCentre's a little slow tonight!)

Well, you can also make your own tee shirts, tanks, tote bags, etc. You can copy and paste any photo, drawing or symbol into a Word Document, add what ever lettering you want in what ever color and print it on a special transfer paper available at office supply stores to make it an iron-on decal. Just remember to reverse the image before you print it.

Wal-Mart has a clearance sale on their colored tees right now for $3.00. The heat transfer paper is probably 50 cents a sheet or less and bingo! You're an intactivist activist!

But you and your daughters are intact, aren't you?

GROSS!!!! But yes, I've seen doctor's websites and websites for circumcised men who want to make themselves feel better advocating circ.
