I'm pregnant! Due May 15

Hey ladies,

I'm Melisa, due with #2 in mid may. I have on Ds, William he just turned 2 two weeks ago. I am married to a wonderful man who is a great daddy that works really hard so I can be a sham. We are planning a homebirth with this baby. Ds's birth was fine in the hospital, but I'm worried we won't get that same experience again and I HATED being poked and proded every hour after he was born. Also, I'm excited not to have an IV in.

I'm starting to get a little morning sickness, but am drinking lots of lemon balm tea, that seems to help. I'm also a lot more tired this time around, I guess chasing a nursing a 2 year old is harder than surfing the net while I was supposed to be working huh?

I'm excited to get to know all the other May mamas!!

Hi Melisa, welcome and congrats!! I have a just-turned-two-year-old boy as well. Fun stuff when you're pregnant!

I'll have to try some lemon balm tea as I'm feeling pretty sick these days...

My name is Claire, I am also due w/ #2 mid may. That's cool you're planning a home-birth. I am sure it will be beautiful!
I had to have an IV in with my last one, even though I had DS at a birthing center with midwives. It was because I had group b strep, and I wasn't too happy to have to wear it, but to be honest, I hardly noticed it. But I still root for home birth, all the way!
I have also had a tad bit of morning sickness, lets home that stuff stops! I havn't tried lemon balm tea. Maybe I should. And I second that chasing a nursing 2y/o (or in my case 16 month old).

I am also pg for the 2nd time (3rd baby - we had twins the first time). Like your son, they are around 2 - will be 2 next month.

I had a home birth with ds and it was awesome, so good luck on your journey! I think there is a homebirth forum around here -- maybe I'll see you over there!
