OMG! The color BLEEDS!! (patons merino)

i just spent the last 3 nights crocheting my butt off to finish this soaker for ds. i put it on him this morning and when i pulled them off to change his wet diaper, the blue dye bled onto the dipe!!

i put it in the sink with a little bit of ds's baby bath and some melted lanolin and rinsed it until i didn't see any more blue. i'm hoping that will take care of it. man, i'd hate to throw the stinking thing in the trash!

has anyone else had trouble with dye bleeding with Patons Classic merino??

I have a pair of pants someone made me with Paton's. They haven't ever bled. But normally, even when wool covers do bleed, they don't stain anything... the dye should wash out of your diaper.

Put the dry soaker in a vinegar water bath. Then crock it few a few hours or nuke it for about 10 minutes. Allow to cool to room temp. Then wash and relanolize to get the vinegar smell out.
